Good progress

Well I wasn't able to get everything done but so far everything has gone well. I have redone the theme and switched some parts of the system and added some. I am still tweaking things though. As you can tell the theme looks a bit different, which is because I had to redo some parts because of browser issues, and some changes just seemed better. ^^ Unfortunately I haven't been able to test the site in Opera yet, and not much in IE6 or IE7. Please report anything that looks odd, or share constructive criticism. Downloads and smilies (other than default) will be back tonight I hope. Have to take a break and study for an exam. See you tonight. forums: |

Will this be the new download manager, or still the old one? Almost finished with LOA Cestus. Should be done tonight or tomorrow.
It's a new system. You simply upload the mod via a form and you are set.
Looking better the more you update.
So if you guys and gals have anything you want to share with the community go right ahead. The old downloads are found here. You are more than welcome to help move them here.
I am currently working on a page that will consolidate all our mods and some other things in one place (like it obviously should be).
Hmm.. my php settings aren't properly set so right now the filelimit is 2M. Working on it.
Edit: The limit is now 30MB.
Uploading is much simpler now. Kudos on a job well done.
Edit: Doing the old-man brain fart and kept exiting browser without signing out, now I'm logged on 3 times.
Thanks, but it is a far from perfect system.
If you don't choose the game category, e.g. U5 Lazarus, the mods won't show up under that category. They only show up under what you choose.
Oh well, thanks for sharing your mods with us.
Edit: I've added your mods to the proper game categories.
When I submit I click/highlight the appropriate category. Don't know why it doesn't go to correct location. The last one I just did I made sure Broken World/add-ons was the highlighted category.
That is what I mean by far from perfect.. You have to choose both "Broken World" and "add-ons", right now NoBuff DS2x is only located under add-ons.
OK, got it figured out. (Us old farts are kinda slow).
Haha.
Dang Volkan, you sure have uploaded a lot of mods.. Moving them takes forever.
Don't get me wrong though, I am grateful. ^^
How do we move them? I tried earlier and did not do it correctly.
Thank you very much for helping out. I should probably have explained how to move them.
What you do is download the mod from the other site, create a new mod here, copy the information for it to here and upload the file. Don't forget the author field.
How about we divide it up. I'll finish the DS2 categories and you can chunk away on the DS & LoA categories as much as you want to, and I'll finish up the rest?
OK. That's what I did earlier and didn't know if there was another way to do it or not. I'll start on the DS/LOA.
Thanks mate. It is most appreciated.
NP. Even though it says I'm the author for submitting, the D/L page displays the correct author.
There wasn't much in DS1 and LOA. Where do you want me next?
Well I just finished the DS2 mods so we are done. Thank you very much for helping out.
Next step is getting more mods, especially for DS1 and LoA, and taking care of the tutorial section. But that will have to wait till after my psychology finals.
I have enabled a caching system for the site that will lessen the burden on the site a bit when visited by guests. Let me know if something weird happens.
I'm back to logging in twice and logging out twice when I come to site. I log out and when I come back to site, I'm still logged in.
This is so strange..
You are using www.siegetheday.org and not siegetheday.org right?
Does it make a difference if you delete the cookies for this site?
A search gives me two cookies:
SESScf873522e772388346406959dfb01d26 and PHPSESSID both for domain .siegetheday.org with path /
On a different note.. I've changed how signatures work. If you change your signature it will now change in all your posts, instead of how it used to be: you having to manually change your signature in all your posts. The problem is that some of you guys will have double signatures as the old ones are actually part of your posts.. not very pretty. I will clean up old signatures as I have time.
My bookmarked page is http://www.siegetheday.org/?q=node
Doesn't happen every time though.
Yahoo! :yahoo: I can have a siggy again! :woot:
- the "Off Topic" link says that there are no posts available..
- and the "Home" link is missing from the Off Topic thread
PS:- the Blue Havens is bathed in sunlight, and all is calm and restful..
Right you are, if you are taking about the breadcrumb links. It happens when you enter a thread, if you just enter the forum 'Off topic' it works just fine. But I think I know why.
E.g. ?q=node/277 and ?q=forum/64
I think someone is telling me to get a move on with the smilies.
Thanks for the support guys.
Bit of a late response, but clearing cookies fixed everything. Thanks.
Ah, that is great news. Hopefully we can use the caching feature then.
You can now upload tools, and I have tried to improve the mod download section.
Had some login problems again and noticed that bookmarks for work computer was www.siegetheday.org but friends computer was siegetheday.org. Changed friends to the correct page. Hope that clears things up.
volkan, hope so. Should get some redirect thing going when I've taken care of some other things.
Made some changes in the Off-topic section of the forums, and have taken care of that issue with the breadcrumbs that Blondin pointed out. Trying to make it so the breadcrumbs for the tutorials work like the rest of the site but I probably need to change the categories around a bit. :/ Working on it.
Fixed some permissions, I e.g forgot to set permissions so other folks than me could upload tools, and improved how attaching screenshots to content works.
