All geared up

I decided to give Forrester some nice equipment and take him for a spin.
Will have to customize that look a bit but he looks very sharp so far.

Danke schön.

Or is it a mod?

I'm not having any luck getting any ds2res I build to load in BW. I even simply untanked Bare_elf's girl armor and retanked it without any changes and it stopped working. I so wanted to have my party carry over to BW with the same skins they had in DS2, but they all just reverted to the standard ones.

Edit: I just noticed that you had done the green hair/beard as a mod, so you're working, too. It must be just me! I'll try reinstalling Tank Creator from this site (as I presume it's the one you're using)

Aye, that is the version I am using.

Not that it matters but I changed his eye color as well. ^^

It appears that DS2TankCreator is an earlier version of Tank Creator 2 and is acceptable to DS2 but not BW.
Now I've upgraded it's all back to normal again.

Did you modify the shield, or it it just that they've improved their use of shaders in BW? It looks a lot better than when I used one in DS2.

Yea, they are a bit difficult to see. ^^

Original shield, so far. It does seem like they have improved the use of shaders. Some armors look much better then I remember them to.

Awesome. Dwarves ftw.

I was poking around in the mesh folder and discovered that although the human, dryad and elf figures are based on the farmgirl/formboy skeltons from DS1 (which means it's possible to build new armor for them) the dwarf was given a new skeleton, so that he can speak.

Along with the talking dryads (and the one human male you talk to at the start of BW) the dwarf gets extra bones for lips, chin, cheeks, forehead so the face can be animated. They only used the new skeletons for dryad/human NPC's who never join you, but the dwarf Yoren(?) can join your party so they've created a major problem for modders to want to add helmets, boots, armors, gauntlets, ornaments etc. as now the dwarf will be the only PC you can't build them for. If they'd kept the talker separate from the PC and used the old skeleton again, it wouldn't be a problem.

Weapons don't depend on the skeleton, so they would work for the dwarf.

We need to pressure them for a dwarf artpack!! (Just a skeleton would do, and I'd take a 3ds MAX one.)

You bring ill news. I wonder if we can get them to release one but I hope so.

I will try to figure out who would be right goto guy/girl.

LoneKnight, yes the dwarves are awesome. Smile
