Wanted: computer upgrade advice

With a budget of only $300 what should I look for and what brands.

currently have a dual core at 1.8 GHz and 2gigram which is way overheating with Morrowind and Temple of Elemental Evil and intend to gain Oblivion and Skyrim

So, what processor, 4 or 8 gig ram, Integrated or dedicated graphics card?

Okay my friend Dwarf. I assume you are talking a whole computer for $300 dollars. Are you going to use any of the items from the old computer in the new one like the case, hard drives, CD or DVD drive? If you are it would be nice to know which and what they are i.e. make and model. What is the overheating computer Make and Model? On the existing computer can you add a faster cpu, more memory and better cooling system to solve the problem. More data please Mr. Dwarf.

I'll look up Make and Model but basically I need to replace the cpu and memory and I want a larger Hard drive and I need a graphics card my current system is not up-gradable enough to handle Windows 10

Using the current Mouse, Keyboard, Monitor and DVD drive and since I'm a long time customer of a local small-business I get free file transfer and the parts price is negotiable  Smile

That's great but to know what you can upgrade to I would really need to know the System Name or Motherboard name.
