New Challenge - Conversations

Hi folks

After solving the last issues, now I try to implement some conversations. Therefore I've studied the respective SU- Tutorial and - surprise, surprise - there were some new issues to be clarified.

First of all, I tried to use the Excel- Conversation Tool. Unfortunately the macros did not work. However, I have no idea of VBAscript. I attached two screenshots showing the rows, where the debugger shows the errors. The error message told, that a user defined function would be not defined. Are there any requirements on the MS Office version to be used for the macros?

Map Radar - Raw Conversion

Hi everybody,

I am new in DS2TK and just going through the tutorials of Siege University.

I got a question regarding the preparation of Radar maps. The tutorial says, the *.raw file, which is automatically generated by DS2TK needs to be converted in *.psd (or whatever graphics software - I prefer *.psp) format in order to be polished. Unfortunately there is no description how to do it. The link to the converter does not work anymore.

Puzzle secrets

I've written up the extra details I extracted from the game while building my mirror puzzle. It's not a tutorial, there's just too much work involved to do a complete step-by-step on putting one together, but it does document the things that aren't already documented, so you can figure out how to use them.

I'll probably do something similar for the Agallan Trial pieces, as there are a few hidden surprises in there too.

I can't believe they did that

I was building a cave in the Siege editor that started at the "Hidden cave" node, and couldn't get it to connect up to the far exit (back to the same region). I discovered that there's a half-unit offset between outside and inside, so the Hidden Cave can only connect to a dead end (or another Hidden cave to reverse the polarity again, but two the same just ruins the point of it).

Every other piece fits the grid except that one! WHY?!

Node swapping

In Aman'lu there is a bridge that starts off broken, then Finala starts to repair it, and finally it is complete. It's relatively easy to locate the gizmos that perform the exchange(s) and discover the calls to disable nodes and fade them out, but what I haven't figured out yet is how to use the Siege Editor to place multiple nodes in the same location. When I look at the gas file all the referenced bridge nodes are in there, so they aren't being created when the triggers fire, just being faded in and out (and enabled/disabled, so you can't walk across the broken version!)
