DS2 Mod development

I can't seem to get the Starting Groups in Siege Editor 2 to work. When I create a region and go to Settings -> Starting Groups hit New. But when I save out the map the starting_positions.gas does not include the new group. Any insight would be appreciated.

I can't remove the protection of the v10 alas DS2v24 and DS2BWv18 so I can remove the races from the mod.

Elys, it's not that I don't like them, they are just not lore-friendly :´p

And talking about lore-friendly it would be awesome an Skeleton race and female dwarves somebody else agree? :3

Anybody had any luck getting the Dungeon Siege 2 Tool Kit working with the Steam installation of the game?

I posted this a little bit ago as a blog post but then I realized, duh, this is fit for a forum topic.

So as we know, there are errors with the Armors brought in from DS1 via the legendary mod. Broken texture paths on exposed skin, the neck looking immensely thick on DS2 characters, the leggings clipping through the boots, etc etc.

So I had an idea that might make them fit into the rest of the armor a bit more.

What if instead of adapting the meshes to fit DS2 bodies, we fix the textures to match DS2 armor?

Has anybody ever taken a crack at to what actually gets written out to the siege_nodes.lnc files for the regions?
