Anyone Interested in Seeing This 1H Axe in DS2?

I've been thinking about creating a mod that adds new items. This is w_elem_axe_thethrall from Team Elemental. I'm wondering if anyone is interested in seeing this model and texture in DS2.

Although I rarely play as a melee character this axe would go very nicely with my war fans on a dual wielding character. I might even be forced to use a non-ranged primary character Smile

Thanks Bareelf. Melee is my least favorite class, but I use one in my party (well a fist of stone). I really enjoy archers. I have ideas on how to spruce up melee by using items (mostly cool ones that proc).

We could always use more items and Team Elemental's mod was really cool.

I'd be interested in your ideas for sprucing up melee in regards to the weapons pack I converted from Theresnothinglft quite a while ago in which he made a lot of really unique melee weapons that did AOE damage. I know there's an area_damage_radius setting that exists in the attack block in components.gas but I don't know if that works for melee weapons. Probably not as the AOE damage caused in DS2 is implemented through spells (like the Ganth's axe and Valdis' sword).

Adepts has some weapons that have AoE effects. I know I would not mind them being available in DS2/BW }:)

Those were with permission from DS Revived.

I also made a mini-mod of converted DS Revived weapons, again with permission, which I released the same time as Theresnothinglft's pack. Again the AOE is lacking from these weapons. It would be nice to restore them to their former glory.

There is an on hit proc in BW for spells to cast. It was broken in regular DS2. If I remember correctly, you can assign percentages. It'd be interesting to add custom proc spells on unique and set items. Perhaps a rainbow of spells could proc for low damage. I'll release a sample sometime, since it's time consuming to design good items. I will have to take a look at your converted weapon pack and others. I think well designed items will make melee more interesting.

Edit: Team Elemental open-sourced their mod before disappearing, so there is a lot of content that could be converted and properly credited.
