This mod allows players the opportunity to play Kingdom of Ehb, Utraean Peninsula, Legends of Aranna and Yesterhaven from the original Dungeon Siege in Dungeon Siege 2 and it's expansion, with all the benefits that provides. Think of it as more of a remastered version of the original Dungeon Siege than a mere port to a newer engine.

The mod is based on Killergremal's original work on the Utraean Peninsula, Kingdom of Ehb and Yesterhaven, found at this thread; https://siegetheday.org/?q=node/1330

Elys All*Saves or Elys' Succubus Manager is recommended to play the mod, which most users of this site probably already use. However either use v1 of All*Saves or turn off the seefar option in the launcher as the mod incorporates seefar moods directly in the maps for better balance without the glitches and distortions caused by using a too high a level of seefar in the launcher. Version 1 of Elys All*Saves is distributed in the installer version in original DS2 (v2.2), Broken World (v2.3) and Steam versions.

Templayer finally found the mod adding the LOA Orbs among other things:

https://www.siegetheday.org/?q=comment/42475

Perhaps you could integrate it to the legendary mod after a few necessary modifications

Another one of those.

My game started lagging after I added the Aranna Legacy version of the Ancient Gifts 1C mod to my DS1 Legendary Mod game. Is there a solution?

In Legends of Aranna, Quayhdar's quest-giving dialogue for saving the wizard city misspells Azunai's name as Azanai.

With tank viewer, I'm seeing the correct spelling, in DS1_Map_Legends_of_Aranna_v1.01, region a2_r6_wizardcity, conversations_quest.gas

Maybe you are looking at the wrong conversation?

I've been encountering many issues when playing through Legends of Aranna map:

1) Some ambient sound effects (like male scream in the Shadow Portal cave, or crow cry in Fen of the Frozen and on the Mountain of the Dead) play on repeat non-stop.

2) New rending auras from the Aranna Legacy mod do not appear (or they appear in shops on very early levels, and then stop appearing), and also the new Transmute spells. This issue is present on all maps from the Legendary Mod. Also, some spells from other mods don't appear as well (Ancient Gifts, Skull Flames, Massive Firebolt).

3) The cutscene that plays when entering Trader Camp has no voiceover (Image 1). I don't remember this scene being in DS1 LoA, so maybe it should not be here either.

4) There is a piece of broken dialogue (Image 2). Another problem is the fact that this conversation plays even before you complete the Acolyte side quest. Now that I think about it, the Arhok guard that gives you the side quest to find Lyssa also mentions you defeating the giant before you complete that quest.

5) Issues with broken stats on weapons continue appearing - this time with Buster Swords (Images 3).

6) A web-covered corner in the Mountain of the Dead tends to trap characters, forcing me to teleport them out to continue (Image 4).

7) Multiple torches throughout the maps cannot be interacted with. And, in particular, this book (Image 5).

8 ) The Shadow Portal bossfight looks kind of strange. I suggest you make the portal cast Skull Spray spell at faster-than-normal rate, or 12 Skull Spray at a normal rate (from Dark_Elf's Skull Flames mod). The idea is to make it look like there is a torrent of evil spirits erupting from the portal.

9) Too many characters throughout the maps have Nature Magic + Combat Magic specialty. And those who don't are usually either Fists of Stone or Assassins. I understand that this is for authenticity, but I prefer to have some variety.

Hello, there are the DSLOA outro and the french sound file for the therg outro, can anyone edit the video and replace the sound by the new sound in the file ?
https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AEDj3fUU%5FZX9s%2DE&id=D01B41ED5B43D242%21258&cid=D01B41ED5B43D242

I need one version in a .dsres (DS/LOA) file for the original DSLOA game , and the file itself to include it in the language pack for ds2

I managed to change the English voice for the French voice but only was able to edit the file in several formats (avi, mp4, mov, etc). So I chose the format "mov" because the format "bik" is an unknown format in 2019. Just to find the program that can convert the format "mov" to format "bik"

Note: the mov format: resolution: 800 x 600 and 14.4 MB (00:46 seconds)

https://mega.nz/#!xwczAIwb!CnoTZBneXbF71DwTh45Cd9zeW_ETUabgVWZhs-uMmiA

The program convert only in modern file like AVI, FLC (and the rest for pictures only (bmp, gif, tag, tiff, etc). Anyway I convert my small file (mov) to avi but the program give me a (very big) file: 1,85 Go. Not very good.

Update: I just find a lot of video converter: bik to media formats (avi, mp4, mpeg, mov, mkv, etc) but none to media formats to bik snif. For information about this program:

http://www.radgametools.com/binkhcon.htm

Actually it convert to bik too, I know, I used it back in 2003...

I think I find the right command (or right button). Give me few minutes to try it

I also found a video all explained : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=391yDqcgX10

Ok I make a file call: dsx_outro.bik (46 secondes - 31,4 Mo - 800 x 600). Just need a Bik Player (http://bikplayer.com/) ... to see the quality!

Here the file:
https://mega.nz/#!VxNFWaQB!VUG0HuvluuYA6_D7OkdhfNRG19GnXCeLA-WjLn6HWYw

Update: I just mix your wav file to your original file. And make a new file (smaller - 26,5 Mo):

https://mega.nz/#!Y59CAahL!eo6smJsJuPuP9k_vNJZTlp7fXvFb2ZStLNwYYBpvl30

You can upload the bik videos on Youtube to see the result (its fully supported, those from LOA better than those of DS1 vanilla), and then delete them...
it work, just that the first word ("Le" prior to Shadowjumper) is cut...
the problem was not on the first video in mov :

Sounds great - nice job

ShadowJumper = in french = Le cavalier d'ombre (or le seigneur d'ombre (or de l'ombre)) - ombre can be remplace by noirceur or its equivalent ...

But the name have been kept in the french version, and as it is writen in stone thanks to the french voices we can't change that, but don't worry I have already re-translated every single part that needed to be in this moron's work that is the french version of LOA

Can you solve this first word cut issue ? ... try to "Bink It" the .mov version you did/linked here prior, perhaps it will work this time...

Sorry but every file I put here (2 bik and 1 mov) have no first word cut issue, I respect exactly 46 seconds. Try a good media player like MPC-HC, Gom Player, Quicktime player, etc. I stop longtime ago to use VLC Media Player and other windows craps. The best is Gom Player Plus (and MPC-HC). But why you need a mov version?

I do again with the mov to bik (bink it) and give me exactly the same file if I use "Mix the sound" (your original file + wav file). Nothing wrong ...

Here the file (My file Mov to bik):

https://mega.nz/#!d9F1DSQD!EOUtK1i_HxBrmO37C5HUjYmN74vC_gITzkjx34y_xWU

Note: I prefer original file (bik) mix with your audio file (wav) to give me perfectly a excellent file (still in bik). Impossible to do better

Ok, then I just have to try/test it ingame in LOA (perhaps I am wrong and it is Youtube fault because .bik is not one of their favorite video codec), is it possible to have it in a .dsres with original file name ?

More issues during my playtrough of Legends of Aranna:

1) The quest for killing Nossirom the Zaurask king activates way before I talk to Ohna. It activates when I first talk to Jharmaya (Images 1, 2). When I first talk to Ohna, her marker is already activated (Image 3).

2) This Utraean statue is floating in the air (Image 4).

3) This teleporter cannot be interacted with (Image 5).

4) I've seen more cutscenes that aren't in the DS1 original, which I don't appresciate. At the same time, the cutscene for the Rune Master boss fight looks different from the original.

5) There is a typo in this dialogue (Image 6). I do not check every time, but some text errors I've found seem to be present in the original as well. Should I keep reporting them?

6) I could not pick up the book that was on this pedestal. When I cast Transmute on it, it disappeared, leaving no gold (Image 7).

7) I could not pick up a book from this table by clicking on it. I did pick it up when I pressed the auto-collect key, but this resulted in my character getting stuck inside of the table (Image 8 ).

8 ) Another door that won't open (Image 9).

9) There were a few problems with The Great Krakbone bossfight:
1. It did not spawn Lesser Krakbones;
2. The passable area of its swamp is significantly smaller that the passable area in the DS1 LoA map.
3. The ambient sound effect for the swamp triggers only when you are close to the exit, resulting in the player hearing it after the fight rather than during the fight. This happens in DS1 as well, but should really be fixed.

10) What is up with the maps (Image 10)? The Kingdom of Ehb maps, while still not as good as what can be found online these days, were still actual usefull maps, while these feel like a joke.

11) There is a sentence missed in Umberteen's dialogue (Image 11). He speaks it, but it is not shown in your text. It is shown in DS1 LoA, so this certainly needs to be fixed.

12) There seems to be something wrong with the order of appearance of powerful staffs that give bonus Intelligence by default. The Angel Staffs seem to appear too early, and they appear earlier than weaker Fire staffs (Images 12).

Is there any way to create a .dsres (for DS1) in present days ?

I can't progress my playthrough until this inoperable door is fixed. Here is the location and my save.

This door works just fine, however you need to find the object/key/trigger. So reverse your path and see if there is something you forgot to pick up. This is true of all 4 doors of this type in the clock area.
Elf

Are you certain? There do not seem to be any buttons, levers or valves anywhere, except for the elevator levers. These doors open normally in DS1 LoA. Quest-locked doors are supposed to give a message, I think.

Make sure you kill the boss monster in each of the previous rooms or paths...

I re-ran through the final dungeon and did not see any remainig monsters. This seems like the exact same issue that I had with a couple previous doors in Legendary Mod. Every time I reported them, I was told that I did not do something, and every time it turned out that the doors were bugged. I'm hesitant to consider the issue to be on my side by this point.

Edit: I'm playing with a setting that prevents monsters from respawning, but I'm pretty sure that I completed every quest and killed every boss there is to kill at this point in the game.

Worked for me even with your save... Not sure what is up.

I will create a new party and run the map again. Right now I need some sleep and can not think very well
Elf

It's the first door at the top of the clock tower. Reinc, I think bare_elf meant the boss monsters in the rooms beyond.

18 months ago I went through it. Now, from the save I made then, I cannot [EDIT] - not if I have KillerGremal's patched Mod-DS1Content-Alpha11f.ds2res in my Resources file. If I remove that then the door opens when clicked.
