Dungeon Siege II in fullscreen on Windows 10

Hello to all,

As you already know, Dungeon Siege II don't work well in fullscreen on Windows 10, mouse cursor is missing.
The problem occurs both with the retail and the Steam version.
For those which would like to buy the game today, I recommand the GOG version.
It works in fullscreen with Windows 10 without any fix or tweak.
I own the three versions of the game : retail, Steam and GOG, and today I play the Legendary Mod with the GOG version.
I thought it was interesting to mention it.

It's good to know someone has fixed that cursor problem in DS2, its a shame that you have to be a member to get it, as I prefer not to join up just to download something once I won't be partaking of the offer.

I wonder what file differences there are between the GOG version and the Retail one, there can't be many of them, Dungeon Cookie Siege, as you've got both versions its up to you to find out which files are altered in the GOG version and which are not.
Come on look sharpish old boy, I've a hankering to feast my eyes upon Deru, Taar and the ravishing beauty Finala again, don't let me down or I'll throw a wobbly, do people who don't live in the UK know what a wobbly is I ask myself....... Puzzled Laughing out loud

If I compare the files between the three versions of the game, based on their CRC once zipped :
Resources \ Logic.ds2res differs between Retail version (2.20) and both GOG/Steam version.
System \ EbuEula.dll differs between Retail version and both GOG/Steam version.
DS2VideoConfig.exe and DungeonSiege2.exe are all different in the three versions of the game. Cool

I signed up to Gog today and got the Dungeon Siege collection + a few other games I had which had broken or scratched disks, I'm glad to report that it isn't anywhere like that steam site that I hate with a vengeance, forcing you into downloading that steam client crap just to play some games is not my idea of fun.

A big thankyou goes to Dungeon Cookie Siege for posting the original info about the Menu cursor fix by Gog, I've had a quick playthrough and it works flawlessly, sometime this week I'll give the campaign a run through as I fancy a few nights in the slammer with those gorgeous Dryads to keep me company..... Ooh La La. Wink

Welcome back to Aranna ! Laughing out loud

I started a game with the Gog version today and got to the Dryad town, I forgot to put ZhixalomsDS2Inventory mod in so I added that and fired the game back up, the problem I've got is If you add a mod after starting the game it wont let you continue your saved game, infact its just like Broken World where the Continue button doesn't even appear, I tried the allsaves v2 mod and that doesn't even get to the main menu.
So my question is to Dungeon Cookie Siege, have you had this problem before and if you have, how did you solve it?.

I used to play with three mods until now, but they caused issues in the Legendary Mod when used simultaneously.
I tried to add Uberstash with my last savegame and with All Saves Steam or DSBW All Saves, my character didn't appear.
I tried All Saves and it worked and I was able to play.
I'm gonna try with Zhixalom's Inventory.

It works too !
Wow, what huge bagpacks ! And I only tried the 1280x960 mod. O.o
The Uberstash mod was intended to only increase the size of the group chest.
In fact I must admit this type of mod is useful, to avoid constant teleportations to towns, especialy when you have already played the game in the regular manner a couple of times and when you start the Legendary mod, carrying your stuff from a section to another.

Elys all saves v1 works for me too, I had to go looking for it on the interweb, DCS you're a life saver.

Now for my next problem, I've installed Broken World and all I'm getting from it is a black screen and the Windows Notification sound alert and "Dungeon Siege is not responding" 4 hours later and I've given up on it.
Here's where you come in Dungeon Cookie Siege, I need your Documents Broken World.ini and all the rest of the folders that go with it as they're not in my Documents Folder, you can delete all your save games as I don't need them, if this doesn't work I've got a couple of other things to try before I completely give up on it. Big smile

The problem is I never install the Broken World retail expansion. Sad
I was so disappointed back in the days I never reinstalled it.
I did it recently but with the retail version of Dungeon Siege II on Windows 7 only for tests purpose.
I don't even use it with the Legendary mod because of the way skills and magic items are managed by the expansion.
If I'm correct you can try the Killah's fix for the Steam version with the GOG version too.
The Killah's fix includes the expansion files and a batch to add or remove registry keys neeeded, so it should work well.

I'm not too bothered about Broken World not working, although some of the new spells and whatnot would have been nice to have when using BW.exe to play DS2 with, I'll uninstall BW and forget I ever had it.
I've just hired Taar to join Suki my hero and Deru, next one to hire will be Finala and then Onwards to Princess Eva, five gorgeous young bints to look at while I'm playing DS2 so what more could I ask for. Wink Big smile
