Extraterrestrial: The First Sign of Intelligent Life Beyond Earth by Avi Loeb

I have been reading a very interesting book it's a bit philosophical, a bit astrological by Astrophysicist Philosopher Avi Loeb.

He is an Israeli-American theoretical physicist who works on astrophysics and cosmology. Loeb is the Frank B. Baird Jr. Professor of Science at Harvard University. He had been the longest serving Chair of Harvard's Department of Astronomy (2011–2020), Founding Director of Harvard's Black Hole Initiative (since 2016) and Director of the Institute for Theory and Computation (since 2007) within the Harvard-Smithsonian Center for Astrophysics.

Loeb is a fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences, the American Physical Society, and the International Academy of Astronautics. In July 2018, he was appointed as chair of the Board on Physics and Astronomy (BPA)[7] of the National Academies, which is the Academies' forum for issues connected with the fields of physics and astronomy, including oversight of their decadal surveys.

In June 2020, Loeb was sworn in as a member of the President's Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST) at the White House. In December 2012, TIME magazine selected Loeb as one of the 25 most influential people in space. In 2015, Loeb was appointed as the Science Theory Director for the Breakthrough Initiatives of the Breakthrough Prize Foundation.

I like that he does not give much thought to his critics and those who nay-say his ideas. I guess he has reached a point in life with so many degrees and titles, he says what he wishes. His thoughts on war, climate change I agree with as I do with the fact that humans have a tendency to not to look for solutions to problems but follow the bland path.

Oooooh, you're just jesting with me elfy, the real reason you look up to me is because of my superior brain, Tongue Its ok elfy, I wont let the cat out of the bag.

Ooooops, you know what you're gonna have to do now elfy don't you, yep, you've got it, you'll have to start wearing a bag over your head, its a slight inconvenience for you but its for your own good, you'll become the laughing stock of the internet if you don't wear it, so chin up girl, put your bag on and all will be well. Wink

Woo-hoo elfy I didn't know that you were so hot, Sexy Shock
you know what elfy, its already working its magic as you're already the spitting image of someone else on the forum, maybe you ought to apply for a government secret service job, with that bag on you could become anyone that you wanted to be. Cool

You can thank me later. Cheer

Moros I do not need a bag I already have a disguise and my bite is fatal. You need a bag so I can not find you.

I don't want to alarm you elfy but you look a bit ill, you really need an urgent appointment with a doctor, or even better, a psychiatrist, Laughing out loud I'm well in front of you on the head bag front as well, I've got three bags on in case two of them get blown off. Wink

I disagreed with my psychiatrist because his ideas where very much like Sigmund Freud's. So I soaked him in Thai Peanut Sauce, barbecued him. He still tasted funky. Wink

silly Elf, you use Fresh Ginger with Honey and soy for "Long Pig" Wink

I would never chew on my psychiatrist, well, unless he is a proto plant based person. I'm really getting into those veggie burgers. Ooh, now I have to try them with Thai peanut sauce...
