Well the character creator is good if you are waiting to play the game, because the face of the character can be alterated in many ways, it uses a facegen system similar to Oblivion or Mass Effect. So you can take time to tweak in details your wanted face(s) and so to be all ready to play at once when the game will be arrived

About release quality, Bioware is good and have created constantly big hit titles for a long time.
