Thanks to Wizardo55 for the last SiegeTheDay one!

A.) For myself, I prefer my own natural dark color (learned my lesson re: "strawhead" ) but for a romantic partner, I don't really have a preference, but tall, dark and handsome is kinda nice... :P (but looks aren't all that important )

Q.) What do you look for in a romantic partner? (looks, kindness, funny, rich, ect...)

Loup_Ombrage's picture

I will die sometime after I'm 70, at least Wink

If you had a chance to be immortal (no one else would be immortal), would you take it or leave it?

LoneKnight's picture

I'd take it. The chance to experience the world and see more than humanly possible is quite a life.

Q: Do you think the DS community will still be around this time next year?

Loup_Ombrage's picture

Well we've lasted this long, with BW coming up I can't see why we won't still be around Smile .

Your favourite book series?

Discworld

Their sanity is a direct reflectionof our own insanity

Yours?

A.) Chronicles of Narnia, the Miss Marple series of novels and short stories(by Agatha Christie) , LOTR trilogy, plus the Hobbit and the novels set in Newford by Charles de Lint.

Q.) Besides viewing this forum, what else are you doing right now?

Loup_Ombrage's picture

Listning to My Chemical Romance, and browsing Planet Elder Scrolls. And breathing.

If you won 3 million dollars, what would you do with it all?

Arman's picture

I would probably spend 2 and a half million on charity, and take the rest to build myself a good, small, comfortable house on a tropical island in the caribbean.

What do you think will happen after you die? (like, be incarnated, evolve into another higher form of life, etc.)

We enter another plane of existance
Another self in another time in another place
Us in attitude but lacking expiriance
Newborne doomed to repeat the same mistakes in a different way

Kinda depressive isnt it?

shadow smile's picture

Answer to Loup: Buy the rights to Duengeon Siege and get the communitys input and buy a house off the Carribean.

Q: What would you do If you could change anything freely only once?

Sharkull's picture

I think I'll answer something simple and non-controversial (I have other ideas that would take too long to type out, and possibly cause quite a stir).

If I could change anything, it would be to magically make it so that all batteries last forever. This would make a clean source of virtually free energy (i.e. free after the batteries are actually made), and hopefully help provide a higher standard of living for all of humanity.

Answering Arman's question too,
I "think" there's nothing after death. I want to believe that there's some sort of pleasant higher plane of existence, but "wishes and whims are not facts, nor are they the means to discovering them"... Dreams are great, but you did ask for a thoughtful answer. Basically, my reasoning is that even something simple like "pleasure" is just a chemical process within the brain, and without a living body there can be no pleasure (in the context that we currently understand it). Extend that thought to the next logical step, and you might see how I'm sceptical about the existence of a non-biological component of human consciousness.

What is your favorite beverage?

What is your favorite beverage?

A.) As all the folks who read my blog know...coffee! Smile But you know, chai tea and Diet Coke are pretty good too.

Q.) Who do you admire? (could be someone famous, a loved one or a friend...whomever)

Gosh, a whole weekend gone by and no reply to my question... !!! :o

A.) I admire people who give of themselves and their time, to me that is more valuable then just throwing money at something (although money can be quite helpful) I also admire Angela Shelton for doing her part to shed light on an important matter. (just "Google" her if you really want to know more)

Since I answered my own question , I must ask you guys:
Q.) Do you want me to bring back the quizzes? Well, do you ???!! Wink

Loup_Ombrage's picture

You didn't answer the previous question...! :P (That's how a Q&A thread works you know...).

What's it like getting older? Well, since I only get older one day at a time, it's not too bad. Laughing out loud

When will SN security be beefed up? Possibly never, but if it does, it will likely only be done on the site owner's timetable.

Do you think that the SN forums will remain open forever (considering the closing / lockdown was announced over a year ago...)?

A.) Difficult to say. I suppose only Witness knows for sure, since she is the one paying the hosting bill. I assume she is keeping it open due to kindness. I am glad to see it stay open, (when it is not being hacked, ect...) but the uncertainty of it bothers me a little. It is like waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Q.) Would you ever have an exotic pet? (python, tarantula, one of the "big cats" ect..)

LoneKnight's picture

Nah, I have no use for exotic pets.

In answer to Sharkull's question, I believe that Witness keeps the bills paid because she is seeing how the site is still heavily used. However, the fact with the hacker, and noticeable slope in members and posting, I wouldn't think she'll keep it up for much longer.

Question: Do you think Witness should give Sjr complete control of SN?

Thats between Witness and SJR

What would you like to do tomorrow that you cannot do today?

LoneKnight's picture

Relive today.

Q: Do you believe in aliens?

Perhaps. Not within our solar system, but in others, where there may be other planets capable of supporting life. (lol i think this smiley looks like a one eyed alien)

Q: What is your favorite breadstick? pizza hut? dominos? hotstuff? or perhaps a local brand. Cool (i like all three suggestions's bread) Shark

Loup_Ombrage's picture

The ones from the Bakers Delight at my local mall. Or any kind of garlic bread, if that counts Smile

Your favourite animal?

Loup_Ombrage wrote:

Yum, garlic bread.
A.) I have a dog and three cats, so for pets, those would be my top two choices. Although, there are many unusual and wonderful animals out there.

Q.) Ok, going out on a limb here...what is your opinion of Fantasy fiction? Is it so much fluff and not "real" literature, or does it have it's own unique and good qualitiies?
( I happen to be a fan of the genre, as well as SciFi)

Sharkull's picture

Yes and no. I'm a fan of good fantasy fiction (Terry Goodkind's SoT, JRRT's LotR) and dislike drivel without a real plot or discernable themes (eg. Robert Jorden's WoT).

Are your FreeCell stats anywhere near as insane as mine? :P
