I had no idea about this..

Hey, I may be incredibly late. Maybe I haven't poked around in the Dungeon siege series nearly enough because I come to find that part of the official series isn't just Dungeon siege, Legends of Aranna, II, Broken world and Throne of Agony... (Nope, Three doesn't count, Sorry.)
No, there's also a comic called "The battle for Aranna" That actually depicts the Legendary Azunai vs. Zaramoth conflict.
On top of that there are movies?
In the name of the King
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Name_of_the_King
and In the name of the King 2: Two worlds
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/In_the_Name_of_the_King_2:_Two_Worlds

....I honestly had NO Idea about this, and I don't know if you guys did or not because I did a search and found only one topic about it and none of the regulars (I know of) Commented on it. (Unless I missed something) So I figured I'd share it.
I swear... I learn more secrets about a game nearly every time I get back into it.

So if you didn't know about these, well, make it a priority to see them and tell me what you think!

I hope it's on Netflix...

Yes most of us know of these things some are quite cool like the comic. The movie is okay but could have been better and closer to the story line of the games. I know nothing of the second movie as the first did not meet with my expectations I like movies that follow the story like the hobbit and lord of the rings movies, the planet of the apes movies. did you know the writer of the planet of the apes movies would only allow them to be made if they matched the books. I have actually watched the movies with the sound off while reading the book and it works. Throne of Agony was exactly that painful

Elf

Throne of Agony was exactly that painful? Meaning, it wasn't good? Truth be told, I never got to play Throne of Agony because I never owned or possessed a PSP in which to do so, much less the game itself. I do remember one of my dad's old friends playing it on the PSP and, didn't you get to make your own dungeons or something? I don't recall, all I remember is that Taar appeared in it again and Jason (His name) made several jokes as to her 'Magical healing chest', which to this day I have little idea where that came from...
OFF TRACK, but anyway!
I can only assume it's not as bad as DS3 and though it may not follow the story line.. is it worth playing, if I get my hands on a PSP?
The movies I found are on Netflix and I'm going to go watch them, as I write this, and I'll let you know what I think. Perhaps we can poke fun at it?

I enjoy making fun of movies, even ones that I like. I just can't help making comments. Insane (well, for a good movie I usually tone down the mockery quite a bit).

I had seen the first DS movie on television some time ago; I didn't realize they had actually made a sequel...hehehe. lol, wow.

I'd be interested in hearing your opinion as well. Smile

I meant to mention this much much much MUCH sooner. But I just remembered that I was watching this a while ago and decided and follow through and watch the second one just today. Sorry about the uber-late response, but once I saw this thread again I noticed it felt incomplete so I might as well finish it.
The first one wasn't stellar, I believe we're all agreed there, but it wasn't that bad. It was watchable, at the very least. But who, WHO, pray tell, wrote the script for the second?!
A Modern-Day ex-marine is sent back in time after being attacked, to fulfill some sort of 'Prophecy' and save Ehb. But, Aranna is a fantasy land, so it would take far more than time-travel to reach such a place. The actors are AWFUL, ESPECIALLY THE MAIN.
I don't.. I don't even want to talk about it, I don't even WANT to point out it's flaws. I don't even... Oh my gosh.
Don't watch it. Save yourself an hour of your life and DON'T. WATCH. IT.

Edit: Turns our there's yet a third one. Should I even bother?

I just googled the movie and I am in awe of how bad it must have been. The first was bad, but it had some good cheeze to it, enough to watch and make fun of. The other 2 movies just sound painful.
