Siege the day : Mod highlight

Hello,
I was thinking that a "Mod Highlight" section in the home page of the web site could be a nice addition for various reasons.

-Could help players to keep tracks of the new versions of their favorite mods.
-Promote the mods to help moders and reward their hard work with more popularity.
-Show some activiy of the community.
-Put a bit of color (screenshots) and fresh stuff on the main page.

It could be some kind of box on the side of the page, a banner or a drop-down menu...

What do you think about that?

Mantella

I like the idea

Dwarf

Sounds like a good idea, however adding something like this as a drop down menu or sidebar item it would have to be managed by Site Staff. All input would have to be sent to us and then added by us. We are few and not always here to do something that would be time relevant and time intensive. All of the mods already have their own forums and could be added to the Download Area when the author(s) are ready. This is something the users can manage themselves. So let me think on this for a while.

Elf

I vote for something like this site, perhaps i'm biased since it's a WoW website Tongue http://www.curse.com/addons/wow

I have made a little test:

EDIT: There are 3 test at the same time here Smile

I think this is a good idea. It will also show STD being more active.
