Mod Compatibility List

With there being some interest in the community is making a community mod it has become very important to compare different mods available for Dungeon Siege 2 and Broken World so that all the mods bundled in it are compatible with each other.

Notwithstanding that, it is very useful to have a compatibility list anyhow so that players can confidently download and install mods without the concern whether they will work with each other or not.

I have already posted a compatibility list and here's version 2 of the list adding another 30 mods for a total of 80 or so mods. http://www.siegetheday.org/~iryan/files/DS2_Mod_Compatibility_List_v2.xlsx

Requires at least excel viewer or open office to open.

This list has been organized into categories such as character mods, weapons & armor, pets, ui and multi-mods for easier comparison.

It's a lot easier to see that character mods are very much incompatible with each other and also many of the big multi-mods like Aranna Legacy. Shop mods are also incompatible with each other as expected and the big multi-mods cause incompatibilities with quite a few smaller mods because they change so many things that are in common.

It would be great if somebody with skill in web design could make a web page where all of this info could be posted and changed whenever mods were updated or tested and added to the database. There are still quite a few mods not added yet including some that are protected such as Darkelf's ubermonsters2.ds2res and Zhixalom's Inventory Mods which I didn't add.

The list was created using the help of BeyondCompare 3 which simply compare's each mod's folder structure for shared files so even if the mods are marked as conflicting, they may still work quite fine together, it depends on how essential the shared file/s are to their operation and the effect on the stability of the game.

Nice job iryan. Must be great having more than one mind to be able to keep track of everything you are working on plus the real world, work, family and all else.
I tried that once and my head exploded, and it took weeks for it to grow back.
