Hey all! Hoping someone can help me...

Hey guys, I'm new to posting on this forum, but have downloaded my mods from this site. I am a long time DS2 player, and am so devastated right now because for some reason DS2 is not working correctly for me. I have had no problems ever, and all of sudden weird stuff started happening. I went to create a new character yesterday, and when I click the buttons to per say change the race, gender, hair, etc.. I does not do anything. The race will change, but not right away. Everything else does not do anything. Even weirder, if I press ESC after trying to change things, everything goes away, but the background screen of the menu. As I said, I have never had issues. I have played this game like probably 500-1000+ hours couldn't tell ya and probably don't actually want to know the amount of hours lol. I run on windows 7 64 bit, have an ati radeon 6900 series, i7 processor, run elys, aranna legacy mod, and a couple of other random mods like ring removal, monster lvl adjust, better spells, and bigger stash. Again, I have never had problems. I just want to start a new character!! Have uninstalled and reinstalled like 3 times lol. Not a complete computer wiz, but am knowledgeable. Have no idea what could be causing such things. If anyone could shed some light and help in anyway, I would be forever grateful. I can provide more info as well if needed. Thanks all!

Figured I would let you all know I have solved the issue! So you can disregard this message, BUT for all ATI/AMD card users! The latest version of catalyst software comes equipped with what's called "Gaming Evolution" aka "Raptr." This software is what was causing the issue. It's a program that kind of works like steam. Tracks your game progress, achievements, etc... Once I closed this program I could do everything once again. I then uninstalled my graphics driver and software and reinstalled. You just have to do a custom install of the software to make sure you do not install the "gaming evolution" software. So happy I can play DS2 again!

There have been several people here that have been having all sorts of weird problems with ATI video cards and the Catalyst Drivers/software. This may resolve all of their issues. I also run Windows 7 x64 Professional but with an Nvidia Graphics Card, so I was unable to reproduce the problems. Once again thank you and welcome to Siege the Day.

Thanks and glad I could help! Hope those people having issues can get back to Dungeon Siege!
