Mod Retrieval and Collection

So, I've been getting all the mods that I like and uploading them to Nexus, but I'd bet that I'm missing some mods. I have a few at the moment that have yet to be uploaded, but even so, I'd like to complete the Kane's Mods compilation and such and such. In any case, I'd really appreciate it if we all got together to recover at least the good mods and put them up on Nexus for easy access.

Thanks a million,
Eksevis.

P.S.
I got one other person to offer their help by adding characters and some mods they made, though I'm unsure what that'll look like.

Mod Ideas Updated as of 7/27/14

That's a very good idea. I'm a member of the site but rarely go there anymore. I've checked it and seen that there's 17 mods there now which is a good start. There's heaps of mods for DS1 and LOA at Gamefront but none for DS2 and Nexus doesn't have a DS2 category yet as well.

It would help losing mods from the game as has happened in the past. There's quite a few good mods that are no longer available.

Maybe a stupid question of a noob, but how far is it legal to upload other people's mods to Nexus? Is it allowed to upload them unless the readme states otherwise? I have collected several mods - I think most of them can still be found, if you dig around a little bit. I might put them on Nexus, but I need to know whether I can or which ones I can. It would be pity, as Iryan says, for them to be lost because most sites are long dead.

Hi Lukawh,
Uploading a mod that you did not create yourself is allowed if the mod is unaltered and complete (if a readme or other notes are included they must be there), as long as the modder has not forbidden you from doing that. Should you have any questions about a mod please post them and we will try to answer them.

I'm also a mod collector, in fact I recently spent about 4 hours scrounging the internet for just about every mod in existence. Understandably its highly desirable for mods to be easily accessed in the future, otherwise even only a mere 2 years from now even more mods will be lost to the cruel ravages of time, forever missing. The files I have collected include but are nor limited to fixed .exes, total conversions, novelty mods, op mods, and maps. Most of them came from http://ds.gemsite.cz/web/index.php/main, however that website seems to go down very often. Its hard to say how it will last as a repository of add on content, so I think its an excellent idea to diversify. I am quite willing to help if it means for future players, and just in case my computer explodes, will still be able to access one of the biggest parts of Dungeon Siege.
