Mod Request - Elemental robes

Hello, does anyone possess a BW mod for Elemental robes that were part of Legendary Mod? I remember seeing a blog or a forum with a download link, but after browsing a lot, I somehow cannot seem to find anything related. Those robes were earth, ice, fire and water, as the classic custom is, and there were some dynamic effects on them.

So does anyone have this mod? I would like to have my characters wear them once I begin a new SP game. :blush:

Well unfortunately I lost any such mod I made when the external HD I store and develop the mods on died recently. It wasn't on the backup drive. It's also not stored on techiem's server either.

You are familiar with Volkan's (Phoenix) mod which adds molten & lava robes?

The elemental robes I made were based on his work and credited to him and by association Dulac, who is credited in helping Volkan with his mod.

The robes no longer appear in the Legendary Mod but at least the Aqua Robe, together with the Molten & Lava Robes appear in DS2BW_Adepts. I believe the Air & Earth Robes are also present but I will check.

Thank you for the advice. I am currently downloading Adepts to see if I can design a separate mod as I want it.

Well, I know about those molten robes, they are cool as well, but a complete set of elements is what I find tempting. Maybe I will also incorporate those into my gameplay. Thanks again Smile

EDIT: Well, Adepts contain all of the robes I was looking for, but there are only textures meant for Catmansion Characters.

In actual fact the textures can be used for other characters as well since male catmansion are the same as male humans, male elves and half-giants, ditto for the females - even the dryads. You only need to rename the texture so it will appear on the DS2 characters. Yes its a lot of renaming for each skin tone needs a separate texture but with a mass file renaming utility its easy enough.

It's only the Broken World dwarves that require a major revamp of the armor textures as they use a different mesh to the other males.

I'll have a go later on making a mod with the robes.

*There is no graphic work required. You just have to rename the files such that they are for the standard DS2 characters, it is a very easy thing to do with a program like FILE RENAMER http://www.siegetheday.org/files/file_renamer.zip the ds2 armors are types 1 to 5 and the cat mansion adepts are 1 to 14. All you need to do is find the robes you want and rename them to the correct DS2 file type. As an example DS2 type1 is similar to Adepts type 6.
However renameing them and not putting them is the correct folder can cause major issues. Iryan maybe you could publish a list of what file types the robes Lukawh wants are and where they should be placed. You would also have to rename things in the templates as well so that they would match the renamed images.

I've started on the mod but remember I have to balance it with continuing work on the Legenary Mod and real life as well.

Some graphic work is required for the Broken World Dwarf but if you don't require the dwarf textures at the moment, the rest is relatively simple. Unfortunately the gas files still need to be edited to tell the game how to display the texture but yes a file renamer helps immensely.
