Friday was a bad day.

Some days are worse than others and this past Friday was in the top 10 of the worse days I have ever had. I started out about 9 AM to take a bicycle ride to Mountain View. Things where going well until I was forced into a curb by a car driving to close to me. This caused me to crash and scrape up my right knee. Looked like I was a little kid who tipped over the first time her training wheels where taken off. Bandaged my knee and continued on. Stopped in Shore Line Park to eat my lunch and was pooped on by a very large bird. Lunch Spoiled and both legs where purple. Stopped in a rest room and cleaned myself up and continued on to where I normally turn around to go home. At this point my left leg was feeling a bit strange. After a few more miles my left leg was in a great deal of pain. So I stopped to get off my bicycle and discovered I could not put any pressure on my leg. It took me about 5 minutes to get off the bicycle. I sat down and discovered I could not stand up again. Had to ask for help to get back up. Knowing I could not ride home and all of my friends and relations where out of town I had to call a Taxi to take me the remaining 10 miles home. The Taxi Cab Driver had to carry my bicycle up the stairs and two of my neighbors had to help me up the stairs. I could tell nothing was damaged seriously because I could move all my joints and all the muscles looked normal so no tendon damage or broken bones. I did nothing yesterday but rest and my leg was feeling somewhat better. I still could not navigate the stairs so I had to order pizza as there was no food in the house (I had planned to go shopping when I got home Friday). Today I was feeling somewhat better so I went to the Grocery store and walked half a mile after that without to much pain. Tomorrow I will see if I can get a bit farther. I am so bored I think I will drink a bottle of wine followed by a six pack of beer, pass out and see what tomorrow brings.

Yup, that's a bad day. Sorry that all happened to you.

Still and all, if you can you really should get your leg checked by a doctor. I had pain in my knee and ankle (back in 2012) and it seemed to get better but suddenly got a whole lot worse. Lots of injuries can seem to be ok but really aren't. Having difficulty using the stairs and walking doesn't seem good to me. Nerve damage or blood clots are not easily recognized. Alright, I won't nag anymore but consider having a doctor look at your leg.

Oh, and damn. I would be so freaked out if a bird crapped on me. Shock
Gack.

Feel better, Lili.

Not a good day. I agree with CathyCF, you should get it checked out. Could be a sprain.Dislocation, Cartilage bruise ETC.

Feeling about 80% of normal today. I walked up and down the stairs 5 times without any pain. Rode my bicycle trainer for 10 minutes and all seemed okay. So today I am going to see how far I can walk in an area where there are a lot of places to sit. If all goes well I will take a short bicycle ride tomorrow. If things go badly I will visit the doctor. I would rather be pooped on by a bird than visit a doctor if the truth be known.

UPDATE!
I took a short walk 7.24 Miles (normally I walk about 14 miles or ride my bicycle 40 miles) and I feel just fine. Only a slight tightness in both legs of the Gastronomes muscles that is quite normal for me. So I think I am getting better. Now I am going to take a bath and go sit in the sun by the swimming pool.

I was sitting by the pool and thought about what siggy and kathy said. So I called my doctor to see if he had time to look at my leg. He said sure he had a cancellation so if I could get there in 30 minutes he would see me. He poked about, took an xray, and made me move my legs and feet in weird directions and pronounced me good to go. But he did suggest I not stress my legs by taking a bicycle ride tomorrow. He told me to go ahead and walk but keep it under 10 miles for at least 4 to 5 more days. I will not go stir crazy at least. Just to prove my legs look normal I had him take two pictures.

I'm glad you went to the doctor and are ready to go back walking and biking. I must say, I'm rather jealous about the whole pool thing. Stare

No need to be jealous about the pool. Normally in the summer there are always about half a dozen kids in the water screaming their heads off, their parents sitting around the pool drinking beer (in plastic cups no glass allowed) I have never taken a swim in the pool with all those kids I am sure it is just a giant toilet.

1, 2 ... You're good to go. Big smile

I see you have the cyclist's tan pattern. Dark on the front of the thighs, lower legs etc. in the shade.

Ha, she does. I didn't even notice.

I love to swim, but even I couldn't deal with that pool. I would just sit there with you, Lili and drink Iced coffee. Mmmm, Iced coffee is soooo good. Love

For Kathy some niced miced coffee

For Ghastley
I now have a compression sleeve for my left calf so the tan will get even sillier. What really sucks the only ones in my size are black. I must work on getting taller so I can get them in yellow, Green or maybe Pink. They look like this

Hmm, I don't like the way that mouse is eyeing my coffee... Stare
