More strange tan lines, not even my left and right wrist match!

My dad used to get that tan line too. Smile

Get some sunscreen, girl and slather it on. Try one of the sport or "dry" types so it will stay on when you exercise. I use Neutrogena ultra sheer in spf 30 or 50, whichever I can find (they offer 100 spf but I don't know, seems a bit overkill) and the stuff feels nice and not greasy on my oily face.

My cycling gloves always used to have a space on the back above the strap, and that patch of my hand was always red and peeling in the summer because it didn't get the sunscreen.

I don't tan, I just scorch and peel.

And I totally identify with this.

You guys need to pack sunblock when you go out for a ride. You can purchase a sunblock stick. Compact, easy and no messy leaks. Yay!

I use an SPF 45 sunscreen developed by endurance shield, specifically for triathletes because I swim, run and bike. You can swim in salt water for two hours before you need to reapply. I always carry a tube in my backpack and reapply after swimming and half way through each bicycle ride at the 20 to 30 mile point. I could use an SPF 100 and I would still tan. I know it looks as if I do not use sun screen, but I do.

On the topic of sun screen I was putting some on this afternoon when this sun burned kid asked me if she could use some of my sun scream. I told her okay but remember to use sun screen so you do not have a sun burn and sun scream all night long.

Sunscreen to prevent Sunscream, lol.

I'm like ghastely in that I don't tan, just burn. My complexion is a oh so "lovely" (not) shade I call "Fish belly white". Puzzled

You have to remember to take it with you, remember to apply it, and then remember to include that patch on the back of the hand. At least one gets overlooked every time, usually the last one.

At least that's not a sun scream location. I'm told that the worst situation is applying sunscreen and then deciding you can go topless, and not adding more.

Yes the older I get the more I forget too. Like forgetting the water bottle, forgetting the Cell phone, forgetting the keys. I always figure it out in under half a mile what I forgot. Now as for going topless when cycling could be dangerous as my arms are not long enough to reach my entire back to apply the sun screen so always wear a jersey. Also I do not want to cause car and bicycle wreaks Tongue
