Playable Hassat Characters

So there has been plenty of talk about this.
But this mod allows the characters to use any human armor and helmet.

My skills at animating are minimal.
The Lion head braids will be weighted so they don't move so much.
I think the original braids had their own bones.

Is it possible to merge animations from one creature to another?
Probably would have to use Gmax.
In that case that may be a later version.

Anyways this mod presently will be for DS1 until I can figure out why my LOA exe crashes after character creation.
I've tried everything.
Added the graphics card to the little program.
Put everything in compatibility mode.
I've tried everything accept reinstalling which I'll do next.

The monster mage spells would have to be converted to regular player spells.
Does anyone know if the hassat monster spells have player versions?

It turns out the game generates portraits of whatever character you choose.
So I won't have to go and make any.
That is nice to know.

Wow, I really hope you release the mod someday, it looks really amazing. Perhaps you will even consider other creatures in the future, such as Zaurask, Droog (top) or Braak. Good luck in you efforts!

Please release the hassat, even if the mod is not totally ready, I would love to test it!

monster spells could be crashing it....the hassat looks cool. loA is a picky thing.

Aren't they - for three levels: shaman, caster and mage - simply derived from the Fireshot player spell? That is how I read the template.

You mean that from Choose Hero, Next crashes instead of bringing up the Load Map selection? Or is it slightly further on?

Your Hassat mod looks really good ChickenGeorge. I like that the characters can wear regular armor, nice touch.

Very cool!

The mod is ready as it can be for now.

I couldn't get the Attacking Orb spell to work in DS1.
(Even though I got the healing version to work in Lazarus)
I don't know what the issue is.
But who cares.

I found out why my LOA exe was crashing after character creation.
If somebody has Zhixaloms's inventory mod in DS resources folder,
then LOA will crash.
There is a version for LOA and works just fine.
But if one doesn't know this then they can encounter problems.

This mod will allow several versions of the Hassat characters
to be selected at character creation.
You have to use the 'Shirt' and 'Skin' to change which one.
There are two 'Heads'.
One with a tail and one without.
But a human helmet will remove the tail.

The feline head is cool.
Maybe there should be a way to have it always.
A progressive feline head helmet.

Does anybody think the cheetah should have extra speed?
Maybe not too much.
The average is 4.5.
The cheetah could be set to 5.

Another idea is to have a whole party of Hassat characters.
That mod could have several found in the world that could join.

I can't get voices to work for them.
It appears player heroes don't have that option.
Which were mostly cat noises.

Hey ChickenGeorge, downloaded your mod. It appears that you adapted the head and tail to the basic farmboy/farmgirl model. I admit, I don't know anything about modelling, jusy an assumption due to the way the characters appear. Anyway, looking forward to playinf your mod. g'night

Never could figure out why tails are attached to heads. They should be attached to butts. Never use helmets anyway, because they mess up my hair! So I will see what happens, but will need to turn off quite a few mods first.
Hugs and Kisses ChickenGeorge
Elf

Hi George of the chickens. I installed the mod and played a bit with the long haired Hassat Love the tail! Mind if I extract and look at the files to see if I can assign custom weapons and armor to him from the get go?

Thank you all for the kind comments.
I'll PM you Bare_Elf
On an unrelated note here is a wonderwoman...

Hey ChickenGeorge, your Wonder Woman looks very cool. I especially like how you got her hair to look, very nice. I assume you made a custom head?

She definitely has a Gal Godot look about her.
