Dungeon Siege Dillon...and hats!

Dungeon Siege Dillon!

The resemblance is there, but my Dillon prefers wading in the lake over fighting Cyclops... Wink

There are a few small problems with my template for Dillon, but as usual Charietto is my go to template guy and has kindly offered to help me. I have to send the template over to him pronto. Dillon is going to be a pack dog, rather than a party member "person" so unlike Toto, there will be no problems with armor meshes. *whew* That way, we can save ghastley from going nuts with tutorials. Laughing out loud

A few new helms based on the type 90 mesh from LoA. Pretty basic because I can't (don't know how to--limitatioms without knowing how to use GIMP very well) create a new image with an alpha channel which the type 90 uses to make different looking helms based on one mesh.

Big Red Hat:

Bejeweled Headband:

Fushia Cap:

I have pretty much finished the Ehb female npc makeovers...here is Sikra. Not much different really...I think Naidi and Ulora came out the best, although I still like the results for Phaedriel and Sikra.
new...old

old....new

I am making a few body armor pieces for "Fashion Victim"...because what would be the point of being a fashion victim if there were no new outfits? Erm, armor that is...armor. Wink

Hope these images help in creating alpha channel. If not let me know.

I like the Mac Daddy Cap also. Got it working for UVLazarus but had to do very weird things. Face was not appearing correctly on first try.

Found out I had to turn the skin texture upside down :silly: before DS1 would recognize the LOA mesh.

I will look into it, and thank you for posting that Volkan. Erg...I stayed up all night...it's after 4 AM...time for sleep! zzZZzzz....

Hmmm... I would have trouble with the process not because of a lack of clarity on your part, but I just find gimp pretty hard to figure out. I convert all the images for my armor into bmp and edit them/draw on them and then with a program called photofiltre. I then convert them back to psd with xnview. I can't copy of paste with xnview, (I'm so lame!) so I mostly use it for converting images and very simple stuff like enhance hue and change rgb values with it. (which is how I made the LoA helms)

To create a brand new helm would also require me to know where in the alpha channel to paste my texture....and that is confusing me a bit. I appreciate you taking the time...I expect someday I will get the hang of it. Thanks again.

The GIMP can edit PSD's directly, and the alpha channel is like a separate picture (as an image layer). In the Channels dialog (see volkan's picture), click the eye icons of the other layers to hide them, highlight the alpha channel layer (so it is the active layer for any changes you make), then work away as you would with any picture.

Edit:
And there are tons of GIMP tutorials around on the 'net if you look for them... Google is your friend. Smile

Yes, I know there are tutorials. In my case I need a tutorial to understand the tutorial. I know the gimp can edit psd's, I am saying it is too complicated for me. That doesn't mean I don't appreciate help, it just means I can't do it right now. Smile

Too late, I'm already nuts. And I did the tutorial, and made the "invisible armor" mesh for Toto to use in it, so you can download it and spend a few hours copying and renaming it if you'd like.
