[RELEASE] GORE Mod v1.1

With Broken World came an urge for me to get back into the modding scene. For those who don't recognise me, I'm NightlithDS from the PDS forums, and original author of the first Difficulty Mod for DS2.

I haven't done much in the meantime, but I couldn't let a gem like this not get posted. So here you go! GORE Mod! *triuphant fanfare*

What this mini-mod does:
- Removes the damage/heal numbers that show up onscreen as you fight. It was clutter and I hate it.
- All hits cause a spray of blood, in various forms. Future revisions may alter the size/colour and overall awesomeness of these effects
- All "killing blows" result in horribly awesome gibbage of the monster Smile

The end result is a screen full of goey red carnage. In a fight involving lots of monsters the experience is damn near orgasmic!

Enjoy, you violence loving maniacs!!

v1.1 -

Just a minor modification. Added a tweaked efct_combat_feedback.gas to hopefully create about twice as many blood slatter and spray particles as before. At least...I changed the values, I have no idea if it really did anything. I wish there was some good tutorials on the WorldFX functions >:(

edit: this mod can be found in the BW download section.

Sounds cool, I never realized how cheesy the floating numbers are - until I went back to DS1 afterwards.
When the price drops on the expansion will definitely havta check this one out Smile

Welcome to SiegeTheDay snit. Smile This mod does sound cool indeed... I'm playing through BW unmodded first but once I start the mod fun this looks like something I'll want to try. Smile

could you make a mod that only removes the numbers that appear above???

snit the gore mod is excellent XD

I like the numbers removal. I like the blood spray. Not so keen on gib everything.

I kind of miss seeing the bodies pile up and some of the death animations are just as humorous as a head or leg flying past the camera. Is it possible to tweak the % chance to gib ?

True, such as the haku spear-thrower's animation of the spear flying in the air and hitting the wielder.... Smile
