Yes I have a few ideas. Offline life is a bit too hectic right now though so they are on hold till school is over for this semester.
- is it possible to preview a PM before hitting the send button..??

I'm afraid it is not, but I can ask the author of that module to add that functionality.
Gotta love this platform... I've deleted a couple dozen SPAM bot guest posts over the last week, and they were never viewable by non-staff.
^^
Me too, and it eliminates the replying to spam problem. (something I did once, in my well meaning n00b days...) I even deleted some spam that congratulated the site for being so well run and up to date and then posted links to unsavory looking pharmceutcals...^^ I thought that was an original twist on spam.

Mmm, I love the tutorial section. So easy to use.
And now that version 5 of Drupal is out we should, hopefully, soon have a much better project/mod section as well. Just waiting for some modules to be updated. Will have to update the theme as well though. :/
Well, a few days after the 'new'er version of this site was up I wrote a massively long tutorial. Then my computer crashed. Lost it all, and got discouraged for the time being from writing any more. But that was months ago, I'd love to write more if I'd have the time. I write them all in Microsoft Word, first. Won't lose them.
What's the point of having a Download section for DS1 with nothing in it?
No maps, no siegelets, no use ...
I think sol77 is saying right here that when the site platform is updated, we will have downloads available in the mod section. If you need some reccomendations for some mods or links, please feel free to send me a PM, although you should know, most sites that you download from require free registration.

No one has added anything and I haven't had much time to look for good downloads for DS1.
Sorry..
I have a cache of good 'ole siegets saved on cds...
I have Elemental (last version), Dungeon Siege Revived, The One Ring Mod, Siege Max Update, Tank Unlocker, Yesterhaven Single Player and Regular, Gremal Hunter, Steels World, Lazarus, Siege Kingdom, Hyperborea, Copperhead: Retaliation, MageWorld (recent version), Abstraction (Recent Version), and the latest build of Project Britannia.
What did that one do for you? You could play the MP solo, and you were expected to start a new player anyway.
I have a few others that weren't complete at the time i was testing them. I'll have see if the author details are still good, and try and contact them for updates and/or permission to repost the incomplete stuff. I probably have Circle of Lorent somewhere, but I don't think Trailstorm-Radeem(sp?) is contactable any more.

There was a version of Yesterhaven SP by a modder named "Father Bronze" but it involved a complicated (for non-modders) process of untanking the map and doing some stuff to it. I never tried it because I started a new character and then just used the summon NPC mod and went through that way.

Yesterhaven SP allows ya to save it, Ghastley. And you don't need to be online to play it. I prefer SP, as I largely play DS alone. I only test or occasionally used to LAN on MP.
All DS mods I have listed here: http://www.dsabstraction.com/downloads.htm you can just grab. I literally have 100's of ds mods, just not listed for download. Too lazy to create a page for each one with description and so on. If you are looking for a certain mod I most likely have it, and there is a good chance I already do have it uploaded, just not linked. If there is a certain mod you want pm or email me, posting here I may not see that, and I can provide a link. I also likely have all the tools that were ever listed and maybe a few that were not listed but I came across anyway.

Very good resource sjr, and cool that getting them does not entail registration. For sites like this one, and the Forge I never minded registering (heh, obviously) but FilePlanet, eush.

Fileplanet sucks, making you pay to use their slow downloads and forcing their download manager on you...
Not sure what you mean. You can use Fileplanet free downloads, you just have to wait in line most times. Also I have no idea what their download manager is as I have never used it.
I do have a Fileplanet account as I get it for "free" as it comes with my internet service, I have Comcast with their Gold or whatever it is called package, that has higher download and upload speeds. One of the other extras that comes with it is a Fileplanet account. I dont use it very often but I get 1mb/sec download speed from them so it is quite fast. I think before that was included with my isp their downloads on the basic free service is 200 or 250 kb/sec. So it is still a adequate dl rate. (250kb/sec is 2mbps connection speed)

I agree that FilePlanet is by far NOT the greatest, but I registered for free and can download any of the Dungeon Siege mods they have hosted for free. A paid subscription may be required to access other content or files, but none of the Dungeon Siege content...at least not in my experience.
But at any rate, FilePlanet talk is going a bit off-topic. This thread is for discussing our site here and how spiffy it is.... ^^

Oh yes, did I mention how much I love the Siegetheday color scheme?
Hey sol,
- how about a "screenshot of the week" thumbnail-type thingy?
- it would look really good on the home page..

..never mind the weather, just as long as we're together!
That is a good idea. I will add that when I do the update of this site.
just waiting for one small module before I start updating this theme, or make a new one.
Can users have a choice of light or dark background if there is a new theme or updated one?

Can the new one have a shoutbox?
What's the E.T.A. for this update?
Knowing how busy Solly is with school I would say a week after the release of duke dukem forever ;).
Well, maybe not as long as that...Maybe the Friday after the 12th of Never? But yes, I think it is safe to assume that when sol has time, updates will be forthcoming.
*pokes solly just because* :P

We will have a dark and a light theme, and a shoutbox when that has been fixed by the developer.
Unfortunately I can't give an e.t.a since it depends on how their new themeengine works, and when I can find time between school and work (and social stuff).
I am also waiting for the module that handles private messaging to be upgraded. They have working code right now but it needs more testing.
Gorgeous, gorgeous site!!! Congratulations!
Why thank you.
