Dark_Elf's 4x Skills 4x Experience for DS2 and Broken World
this mod -
1. advances a party member 5 or more levels behind main character level instantly to the main character's level minus 1 when they are added to the party. Original the code only advanced them if they were 20 or more levels behind and they would level to 2 levels below main character. example - your character is level 32 and Vix is level 25 in the inn, he should come out of inn join party as level 31 now.
2. 4x the experience you and your party receive from killing a monster. It also 1/4 the penalty for killing something more than 4 levels lower or higher than you. (This is to further help your lower level party members catch up.)
3. gives 4 skill points on level up

Do you have a 2x version because 4x seems a bit too much boost.
2x can be made by tweaking the 4x, maybe I will find time to change it someday
All the henchmen have the normal number of skills when first found or gotten back from the inn, but they do get and keep the bonus skills when they level while in the party.
I'm using the level 500 mod,and I just downlaoded your mod to see how fast can I get to level 500 with it. Because without EXP mods it takes an eternity to get there(did it already).
And now my level 7 nature mage is killing everyone with 1 spell.Do you have any mod which makes monsters stronger?
thanks for downloading my mod wanting to see how fast to get to 500 and now level 7 killing 1 spell and wanting harder monsters? I am confused now. yes I wrote harder monster mods, they should be available in download sections of this site but.... the monsters then may be so hard to kill that u may get even more frustrated on your pursuit to 500
for harder monsters can try this -
http://www.siegetheday.org/?q=node/1397
I always want a challenge I don't care if they 1-shot me,atleast I'll be more careful.
But is this working for the basic dungeon siege 2 or only for the BW version? (I have both installed ,I just want to know if the haku's and Valdis will get stronger)
Level 7 comes at 19600 exp (Vanilla DS2). Say character has 20000; if this is x4 then without the mod the character would have 5000 exp and would be at level 4; so you have a level 7 mage 1-shotting level 4 monsters.
If only nature magic was used then nature magic skill would be the same as character level. This determines what spells you can use, but their effectiveness depends on Intelligence.
nature_magic_intelligence_influence = 3.0
Intelligence starts at 11 (for a human; 13 for an elf, etc). If the 3.0 applies to levels then level 7 nature mage has gained 21 Intelligence making 32 (etc) whereas level 4 mage has gained 12 Intelligence for 23. If the 3.0 applies to exp then 5000x3 gives +6 levels so Intelligence 17 (etc) without the mod, 20000x3 looked up in the table gives +11 levels so Intelligence 22 (etc) with the mod.
Am I anywhere near right on this?
Skill points. Without the mod character starts with 2 (pre-assigned according to race) and at level 4 has gained another 4, whereas with the mod level 7 character has added 28! Is that real? Have you put all that into Aquatic Affinity and Arctic Mastery? Maybe that explains why everyone is going down before you.
Without the Exp mod it's normal, everything's fine, struggling as always.
With the 4x skill points I 1-shot them instantly. I have also the level 500 mod and I thought the monsters will be more powerful.
I think you'll soon come up against diminishing returns, even a limit, and have to start spreading your points around.
Were my Intelligence calculations about right (either version) or way off?
I haven't got the level 500 mod so not sure if this mod is even working, but it sounds like its working to some degree if a nature mage is one shotting lol....As for the math, I'm no rocket scientist, I just mod the game to my liking lol
as for limits the game has a max on the number of skill points to invest once the max is met it wont give no more so by time u at 100 say the other 400 levels would still be at the skill point limit. but is good to go 20 points in cold, and make em strong. sadly if a cold resistant monster come may have to run, cause cold spells may heal them....
as for the Hak'u and Valdis...not sure if my mod made them harder, I need to look at my mods again, its been years since I have looked at either mod. Valdis is hard enuff, it just the eye encounter is so easy, the eye needs modded, would have to edit skrit to make Valdis harder, thus make a bigger download.
No offense, but your "strong monster" mod is so broken The people dissappear.
Also I guess the monsters will get stronger, since these are only haku's
thanks for the bug report, I have looked at the mod, there is a few bugs, esp with the health of some evil... not sure why people would disapeer cause I didn't edit any townfolk in the town other than evil ones, but I will be fixing this mod, thanks for telling me it was broken. perhaps u can test my older hardermonsters bw and ds2 mods in mean time.
You say struggling?
I have a 4 mage party on one computer, and I've gone past most of act 1 and act 2 (stopped only due to lack of interest as of late 2013) regular while being bored to death because I can kill anything before they touch me: 4 summons + all the buffs (aquatic or spirit embrace, wrath of magic) and I either frost beam/static bolt/grave beam them down, or go AoE with Cold Snap, and Firespray, rapidly repositioning as needed. ( which is easy, as the mages can be controlled as one control group since they have the same casting time and everything.)
Add to that the usual power trick (using energy orb/gravity stone to "recharge" my powers), and the only problematic cases are when the enemy can automatically hit me and my summons are dead. (had one wipe to the dark wizard in the ice caves, and another one in windstone fortress against the miniboss plagued mage). Pretty much everything else is me steamrolling through hordes or a few stronger creatures focused down, using curses time to time (drown or dehydrate, sometimes steal magic on the vai'kesh mages).
