Editing Characters

I was never too good at this is DS1 or DS:LOA. Is it possible to edit items with DS2? I have some MOB items that i would like to make a litle more powerful. i.e. the Test Spear (Morden weapon) Morden Shield, etc. I would like to edit my items instead of enchanting them, that gets extremely boring and options are limited. forums: |

Yes.
HOW!! I opened all the files for my characters with TV2 and notpad and found no coding with my inventory or stats...
:P
You don't edit the items in your character file, you add / edit item templates in logic.ds2res\world\contentdb\templates\interactive\...
That's not what i meant!
have you ever edited Character files in ds1 or LOA?
If you have, thats exactly what i want to do.
How do I find item templates?
DS2 save games are in a binary storage format, so editing them is practically impossible (you'd need to know the binary storage key, and then do some hex editing).
BTW: No, I've never edited a character for DS1 / LOA. I never saw the point.
...and please use the edit button instead of double posting. Thanks.
Sorry again...
How do i find effect templates?
I want that red glow with black dots...
Find the flick files...
In logic.
You can edit characters with a character editer uploaded at my site here so hex editing isn't needed. The effects are more than just the stuff in flick files. Those are like how micro templates are(way less properties). I don't recommend doing effects to a new modder.
