Heya friends happy fridayy! So, any of u, especially the beloved mage Iryan, do u have the source for Elys Succubus Manager DS2v20 and DS2BWv12 like u said months ago? I can't remove the protection of the v10 alas DS2v24 and DS2BWv18 so I can remove the races from the mod. Elys, it's not that I don't like them, they are just not lore-friendly :´p And talking about lore-friendly it would be awesome an Skeleton race and female dwarves somebody else agree? :3 forums: |

Here's the source files for DS2v20 and DS2BWv12.

I don't know why you couldn't just ignore the extra races, its not as if you have to play as one.
As for the skeleton race, I made a mod a while ago that added the Skeleton, as well as Gargoyle, Witness's Light & Dark Elves, Goblin, Orc and a few others. Note that the Skeleton doesn't have dual wielding or throwing animations like most of these though the Light & Dark Elves and Orc do as they can use the DS2 female animations.

The download to the last version is halfway down the page just above the picture of the skeleton by coincidence.
The thing is my fellow brother that some of my friends that I play on Lan tend to be unmotivated to continue playing when the game seems moded, and as the new races of Elys don't have an model for themselves it shows that they do are mods :´p
Otherwise I can lie to them that your races compile are part of an add-on to the game xDDD
And what do u guys think of the female dwarves? As said by Gimli on Lord of the Rings, it's not that they do not exist they are just too similar to males, just more fatty cause of the breasts and don't have beards :v
Gonna see if I can work something on the next month about it
Oh yeah, and I have finally encountered something looking through the files of Ds2 to help on the stats of the Ultraean to make them unique, Resistences that u talked about months ago but just recently have found it :´p, it was not that easy to find something that I can use, was almost looking for an unique magic of them based on those of the enemies.
Other thing I've noticed, It seems that I can't use those ds1 races on multiplayer. Is there something to do to enable them?
Again, thank u so much beloved mod mage!
Please read the rules chaoruge as swearing is NOT allowed. I removed some of the language from your post that is not allowed. Please do not do it again or I will be forced to ban you.
Sorry Bare_elf, gonna pay more attention I promise.
Swearing it's too deep on my language nowadays that I didn't even notice.
So embarrassed ><
And thanks for the great moderation :3
Female Dwarves for DS2 would be nice as there is a female dwarf mod for DS1
Do you know where this female dwarf mod for DS1 is? Is there a screenshot? If it exists and is of good enough quality it can be converted to DS2.
This topic of female dwarfs came up about 12-18 months ago and there was some discussion about it but nothing came from it due to the lack of a suitable and appropriate model.
AlphaDD had a Dwarfgirl Test Mod in the DS1 Add-ons, I sent a PM to Bare_Elf to see if the link can be restored.
This is the link to the mod that DDLulu did for the DS1 Dwarf Girl. It is based on the male ds1 dwarf have a look at the read-me file. I thought it might be Cat Mansion but it is not.

Dwarf Girl works in DS1 and according to AlphaDD or DDLulu which ever you wish to call him he says in the read-me file she should work in DS2 as he already included the necessary animations.
Here is the read-me file.
My version of a dwarfgirl for DS1:
I took the male dwarf and squeeze his body mesh to be more female look.
Then i took the farmgirl'heads, put the squeleton of the dwarf male in
them, rewrite the weights and position (a program did it,work very well).
This is a test version because it's easier to do in ds1 , we have gmax,
viewer animator. And we can put ds1 toons in DS2, i eaven make 4 animations
of the dual wielding (easy to do by the way).
As always you can do what you want with this.
DDLullu
I played the Dwarf Girl through part of DS1 Kingdom of Ehb. All works quite well.
OMG this is just amazing! Does anyone have screenshots =DD?
Edit: Nevermind, I saw it on the archive XDDDD
Oh maaan, I wanna see it on ds2 now :3
Getting the female dwarf into DS2 should be quite easy to do and the interesting thing is that the DS1 male dwarf should also be able to dual wield as well since they share animations.
However the sticky point is the DS2 armors and textures. As there's no equivalent DS2 meshes for DS1 characters, their DS1 meshes have to be used. Helms, Gloves, Boots and Armor all have to be one of the DS1 meshes. In the character pack I picked the nearest looking DS1 mesh to use as a substitute and used the DS1 textures. Converting all the DS2 textures to be used on DS1 meshes is quite time consuming.
I have downloaded the model and will look at it when I have some spare time.
Note hands are a little off and the animation is out of sync when you try breaking something
I also noted that her hands where a bit off but they do not look as bad when she wears gloves. The problem with the animations I do not believe is something with the mod as I have noticed it with the standard race (character set) set. It is even more obvious with a male or female elf. Cast spell Hands move then the effect of the spell then a short time later the trunk or barrel opens or explodes.
First of all, thank u so much Iryan, with the source of Elys Succubus Mod I could get those Ds1 races and Ultraean working online, and made a simple multiplayer mod for more players.
So thank u Iryan and Thank u very very much Elys, even if u are not here anymore, on the site at least(wow, this phrase was a little more morb than I've expected, sorry ><")
It's a little of a let down that the meshes and textures aren't similar to those of Ds2, but that isn't a big problem. The real pity are the lack of dual wield and throwing animations and the Orc's animation being so feminine as they were made over the farmgirl model. Are those animatinos too hard to do? And what about the Orc animations, switching from farmgirl to farmboy? As I got by the talk on other topics, correct me if I'm wrong, it seems that DS2 it's harder to mod than DS1, so, there's no way to mod those Skins/Races on DS1 and them bring them over to DS2?
Again, thanks for the Hard Work <3
I'm assuming the question about "there's being no way to mod those Skins/Races on DS1 and them bring them over to DS2?"is about the quality of the mod.
The Dungeon Siege 1 models naturally don't have corresponding meshes suitable for the DS2 armors. The DS2 textures can be manipulated to appear on the DS1 models but it is very laborious work. So for the alpha I used the existing DS1 textures on a mesh that was similar to the DS2 one. Dungeon Siege 1 actually had 7 armor types (meshes) with another 2 added by Legends of Aranna. Dungeon Siege 2 has only 5 armor types, in keeping with GPG philosophy of downsizing many things in DS2 (less armor variety, less spells, etc)that existed in DS1.
Luckily the DS2 male and female models support the DS1 meshes (Half-Giants use the male mesh as do male elves, Dryads use the female mesh as does female elves) so in the Legendary Mod we could add the extra armor types to the existing DS2 armor types for a grand total of 14 armor types. The Broken World dwarf was a different story as he is a brand new model so required a lot of laborious work to convert the DS1 textures to appear on him.
DS1 also handled textures very differently and more efficiently than DS2. In DS1 one armor texture was used for all races for that particular armor. In DS2 you need separate textures for all races and genders for each armor texture. So for 1 armor texture in DS1, you need 6 in DS2 plus another one for the dwarf in Broken World. It's actually worst than that because GPG wanted you to see some flesh (skin tones) in DS2 so there's 3 skin tones for each armor. So that 6 (or 7) textures now become 18 or 21 (to support Broken World). Is it any wonder there's been so few armor mods made for DS2?
I'm not proficient at all with animations. In the readme for the dwarfgirl mod, DDLullu noted that adding dual wielding support was actually quite easy to do but unfortunately I wouldn't even know where to start.
So to summarize, improving the meshes is impractical, animations should be possible if you know how and the textures definitely possible with a lot of laborious work (at least the textures supplanted on a similar mesh).
Again thank u a lot for the response, and yes it's really a lot of work like I've imagined already, and u helped me understand a lot of questions I had about DS modding, gonna see if I can do something about it or not XDDD
So Thanks and a nice weekend :ok:
