This thread is devoted to comments, bug reports and fixes and discussion about the DS1 Legendary Mod for Dungeon Siege 2 and Dungeon Siege 2: Broken World. Full version Installer version DS2 Legendary Mod v1.01 at MODDB Split version Installer version Hotfix for fades issue in Kingdom of Ehb v1.01 Please note that the mod must be installed in the Dungeon Siege 2 resources folder even if you own Broken World. Unexpected glitches will occur if you don't. The installer version also includes a number of min-mods and a simple mod manager to enable them, which isn't available if you download the mod as separate modules below. Here's the links of all required files for the full version as separate modules; Please note that the DS1 Content Pack is included within the mod but for reference here's the separate download link; Mod Game Manual Current Readme for KillerGremal Mods This mod allows players the opportunity to play Kingdom of Ehb, Utraean Peninsula, Legends of Aranna and Yesterhaven from the original Dungeon Siege in Dungeon Siege 2 and it's expansion, with all the benefits that provides. Think of it as more of a remastered version of the original Dungeon Siege than a mere port to a newer engine. However either use v1 of All*Saves or turn off the seefar option in the launcher as the mod incorporates seefar moods directly in the maps for better balance without the glitches and distortions caused by using a too high a level of seefar in the launcher. Version 1 of Elys All*Saves is distributed in the installer version in original DS2 (v2.2), Broken World (v2.3) and Steam versions. Essaye de voir ce que ça donne pour le Royaume d'Ehb et Yesterhaven, et dit ce qui ne va pas, et si tu connais les campagnes de base par coeur dit ce qui doit encore être traduit !
Ca marche Gemeaux, je vais peut-être commencer par Yesterheaven, cela me permettra de découvrir une campagne que je ne connais pas pour changer un petit peu.

Re-bonjour Gemeaux, j'ai finalement opté pour recommencer le jeu dans le royaume d'Ehb.
J'ai utilisé la beta V30 avec le fichier de traduction, voici quelques premiers retours.
Les drapeaux de point de sauvegarde indiquent : Check point
Au pont détruit, les panneaux indiquent :

- Upper farmlands
Après avoir tué le grizzly dans la caverne près de la première maison après la ferme, on ramasse un objet unique :

Altan's leather [Corrigé avec la V33a]
J'avais fait quelques corrections dans le fichier dscore-text.gas d'origine et j'avais changé le terme Ferme Skrubb par Skrubb de ferme. Je me suis dit que ce pourrait être intéressant de faire de même.
Dans l'onglet "Spécialités" des fiches des personnages, certains pouvoirs ne sont pas traduits :
Corps à corps
- Provocation
Combat à distance
- Répulsion
- Nuée
Magie guerrière
- Eclair concentré
Magie naturelle
- Pierre gravitationnelle
- Cercle de givre
- Convoquer provocation
- Invulnérabilité
En sélectionnant une grenouille, Frog.
Dans la première maison après avoir quitté la ferme, on trouve un livre qui est affiché : Histoires des cryptes avec une balise FS, y compris au niveau de l'onglet "Savoir".
Quand aucun membre du groupe n'est mort et qu'on demande à les ressusciter, le personnage dit "Je sent [...]" au lieu de "Je sens [...]"
N'hésite pas à me dire si tu as besoin d'un formalisme particulier pour mes remontées et si tu as besoin de la traduction manquante lorsque c'est le cas.
Personnellement j'avais retravaillé ou complété les traductions de Legends of Aranna, il y avait des erreurs ou des oublis, si je vois les mêmes je t'en ferai part et je te dirai ce que j'avais fait comme modifications de mon côté.

I started to test the beta V30 with the french traduction and I wanted to give you some feedback.
I'm currently at the fallen bridge before the crypt of sacred blood and when I talk to the merchant, in order to buy some spells, some of them are not correctly displayed. I see a little pink square instead of the regular icon.
In english I think these are : Summon a giant rat, Summon a dark blood, Summon a giant butterfly.
Even if I buy and put them in a spell book, their icon remains like that.

Les panneaux indicateurs pour la crype du sang sacré ont des textures écrites en anglais, je le signale à tout hasard mais je suppose que c'est "voulu".
Quand on atteint un check point, il est écrit : "Check point reached : Game saved now will begin near this check point".
Dans la crypte du sang sacré, la carte de Stonebridge est désignée par : Map of the crypt of the sacred blood.
Une fois ramassée il est affiché : Vous avez reçu Map of the crypt of the sacred blood.

I would like to ask you some questions about your mod.
Near the crypt of the sacred blood there is a hidden crypt.
When entering, there are two gargoyles on a pedestal, but I didn't see them so I was wondering if it's normal.
Entering the crypt of the sacred blood, there are no gargoyles at this moment but only skelettons.
Another point : still in the crypt of the sacred blood, there are two pressure plates to open a door and near them a room with a book "Story of Azunites", lying on an elevator plate.
When I approach it, it doesn't show up, so I can't take it.
I made a copy of my savegame because even if I restart from the last checkpoint, the elevator plate remains below.
Sometimes monsters seem not to see me or turn around themselves. I noticed that with wolves approaching the crypt or with Kruggs.
I keep on testing.
I had the same problem that you're having, you should have these files in your resources folder for up to date file compatibility.

If you haven't got those files above then the easiest solution is to use the latest beta version below.
OK, I'll try this version, even if it's considered as work in progress build.
I decided to use the V30 version as a point of start but I'm ready to give the V33 a try.

Ne t'inquiète pas, j'ai corrigé les erreurs de traduction, il faudra en revanche que j'apporte des corrections aux dialogues du Royaume d'Ehb !
En revanche les talents ne sont pas du tout affectés par le mod ou la traduction, ils restent les mêmes que dans le jeu Dungeon Siege 2 !
Pour les autres problèmes, poste les plutôt en anglais !
Effectivement, j'ai aussi le souci de traduction des pouvoirs sur le jeu.
Je vais voir ce qu'il en est, j'avais réinstallé le jeu, je l'avais patché et j'avais ensuite installé Broken World.
J'espère qu'il n'y a pas un conflit avec ma précédente installation de la version Steam, je vais voir pour nettoyer la base de registre.
Yes Pseudopode the mod is a work in progress, however each update fixes problems. The problem you reported occurred in version 29 or 30 and was fixed in version 33A. I would advise getting all of the updated files that iryan has placed in the legendary Mod Thread this will resolve most issues and create others :). Fixing one thing often times will break another. I have been testing this mod since The very early alpha versions.
Et sinon, Pseudopode, ça te dirais de te charger de la traduction de la carte "La Péninsule Utréenne" ?
Personnellement, je me souviens qu'elle est immense et je n'ai pas le coeur de m'en charger...

ce qu'il faut traduire se trouve dans world > maps > utraean_peninsula
les champs à traduire sont précis (ce sont ceux qui sont pleinement visibles en jeux), et utilise le contenu de dscore-text.gas de Dungeon SIege / Legend of Aranna pour traduire tous les éléments qui sont communs au jeu de base comme au mod (objets et dialogues)

I have been running around on various maps checking on which objects are actual obstacles.
It looks like blocking objects where placed first. These are Logs, Tree Stumps and various rock formations.
Then phantom objects as window dressing. Trees, Glowing crystal formations.
Third, Ice formations and furnishings like table, benches, bookcases etc. Look like they where all supposed to be solid then some where made phantom to simplify movement/combat as the phantom types are where you or the monsters can get stuck (which might explain how some monsters get stuck in things like bushes as they are too close to the map edge)

I was wondering about that, and it did seem like combat and following and all kinds of stuff could be broken by actual trees n things. I wonder if the bounding boxes can be fiddled with, so you can "rustle the bushes" but not enter them like Homer Simpson? I also wondered what a map designed with more collidable objects would be like, and maybe if you can still see through them, could trees be used to more tactical effect? Somewhere around wondering that, my brain exploded and I fired up the Siege Editor and BROKE IT. lol Gathering Exceptions trying to place a tree trunk, BEFORE editing it in any way... But eh, Siege ditdider is still a good reference for Template stuff.

I have been trying to get 33a to work (with and without 33b/33c files), but it seems to crash after the bottom left loading dots are through. This only happens with the legendary exe, the regular exe works just fine and I can get all the way ingame. I'm running Windows 10 with Steam version of the game. I played the mod on this exact same computer some time ago (probably v30~) with windows 7, though I can't remember if that had a separate binary.
I get the "Exception Detected!" popup, and the DS2Legendary.crash file looks like this: http://pastebin.com/QuSX1Dtm
The crash is always the same, access violation at UIFrontend::PlayFrontendSound.
Does anyone know what this is about? Maybe someone else has solved this... I already tried all the usual stuff, like compatibility modes and such.
There's another update to the French Language Pack, with some generalized updates and Legends of Aranna support.

This has been sitting around on my hard drive for a week as I intended to try to track down some bugs but as usual ran out of time.
Also it would be nice to know how to get the game to auto translate tips and handbook info without translating everything manually. For example the DS2 map contains the English version of the tips and handbook entries, no matter what language the game is installed as. The game auto-translates this with the help of a dscore-txt.gas file and presumably a dll or something similar. Unfortunately I don't know how to get the game to do the same for the converted DS1 maps. Any help with this would immensely speed up language pack development. Certainly I'll never have the time to translate it myself (even though dscore-text.gas contains all the necessary translations).
Do you have the dscore-text.gas from Dungeon Siege 2 in the files I sent you ? If you do, send me this file back and I will copy it's content on an .txt file (maybe it work)!
Volkan's Better loot Mod was part of my problem. part of the conflict looks to be with Mod content as the barrels at the home at start of KoE drop nothing.
The main reason your posts where not answered is that you are not a registered member and therefore must wait for a moderator to find your post and display it. If you register your post will be there for all to see once you register.
Amongst the other things to translate, there's the non-interactive objects like signs which only purpose is to display a text in the upper border of the screen when you put the cursor on it, as well as textures to replace by their french equivalents (all textures with names/warnings on it have been "translated" in both KOE and LOA), of course there are corrections to bring to the KOE translation and all the issues I have mentionned on the previous post !
Just 2 errors in the quest thingie with Special Delivery and The Trapper.
Regarding The Trapper quest, I did a little test run afterwards and if you speak to the quest giver first it completes but if you send yellow wotsitsname to the afterlife like I did before receiving the quest it doesn't complete. :?
Its the first time I've ever played LOA so I didn't know about that Trapper quest, well that's my excuse and I'm sticking to it. :P

On the re-load the Drake got stuck in the door as it closed and only Fluffy could attack

Are the files of the version 33a stable ? Is it possible to get them individually like the older versions ?
Yes they are stable, and yes you can get them individually. Note all of the files will not be labeled 33A. I will post a list of the most current files unless iryan or sigofmugmort beat me to it. I am not currently in the same state of being as my computers.
I have noticed a secondary effect of the mod : in the Dungeon Siege 2 campaign, I can't accomplish the quest "A family heirloom part 1" because the Vai'kesh demon doesn't spawn...
It was fixed in Beta_30
