Custom Party Mod? (DS2)

Rehtael's picture

I'm not sure if this currently exists anywhere, but does anyone know of a mod that allows you to make a custom party?
If not, would anyone be willing to set aside the time to help me?
I'm really clueless to DS2's back-end, but would there be a way to use the new game character maker (or something similar) to maybe add party members to the inn's list?

My goal is to get a party full of my friends and make a series out of it for youtube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rbUtZ06Xx0&t=1s
I know it's not much to offer, but I'd gladly promote the site in the video, and would be willing to commission this mod if it's not too pricey.

I'm still super looking forward to doing a DS2 video with my friends, but it's kind of taken a back seat at the moment.

Hey,
I recall of a working technique with the DS1Mod commands, perhaps DS2Mod have the same commands and you could recreate this lost technique :).

If I recall well you could create all your characters one by one in single player and save right after the dying old man on the bridge and when you had all your characters created choose your main and import the others with a command or two...

Then what you could try is to import that DS2Mod party into DS2BW and play with all of them from the start :).

I will give you more details if I am able to find anything.

See you.

After a lot of trial and error, I've finally found out how to start the game with 5 customly made characters in the tutorial, and add another 7 characters shortly after the tutorial (to have a total 12 custom characters in a party). The game actually takes it as a start of a new game, so the intro and cutscenes will play when selecting the party for the map (tested on vanilla).

EDIT: I've posted the Czech-only version originally by a mistake, now it links to the english version.

At the start of the video there is a showcase of the results for the 5 or 6 party members (5 in the tutorial, adding a sixth one afterwards, due to Drevin being essentially hardcoded), and / or 12 party members after the tutorial.

The other 6 characters (from the 12 member party group) run on a different client, follow the first party, and battle automatically (without player's direct input, except for powers). You just need to alt-tab to it to do: Inventory management, Power and skills management, and getting 12 characters into an elevator is hard as nails.

This walkthrough also has a way to convert singleplayer saves to multiplayer saves and vice-versa (including the whole world, as in quests and everything, if you wish).

If the Succubus mod is used, then the game balances itself for 12 characters, so you don't have to worry about challenge.

Using the broken world expansion, newest patch, and a quite few mods. I recommend spell mods for more automatic spells and automatic potion usage if you are going to use the 12-characters variant. Smile
