And BW came back at giving me problems

So here we are again. Broken world is giving me problems to let me play it, making my damn cursor invisible and tuck him in the right side of the corner where it disappears for complete. At least now I have some ideas of what is causing it, even if my tries to resolve it came back fruitless. The thing is that Windows 10 released an aniverssary update thing that made many cursor on games invisible, but for most of them if I check the option of "Disable display scaling on high DPI settings" the game crashes. But Dungeon Siege 2 isn't giving me this problem as I can run it windowed, only BW, and discovered why. After putting an hdmi cable on my notebook (which max resolution is 1366x768) I discovered that the game would run in the windowed mode( as resolotion there was 1920x1080. The thing is that DS2 startup menu run in 800x600 while the BW one runs in 1024x768, and I can't find out how to change that one, as the startup menu and it's resolution are totally detached from the game itself and the height and width codes don't work with it. So, does anyone (Mages Iryan and Bare_elf), know how to edit the startup menu resolution? Maybe Hex Editing? forums: |

I have the same problem with my laptop. I haven't looked into it further but this thread on steam discusses a hack that may work if you're willing to try it;

I believe the behavior of DS2 launching in a fixed resolution and only changing to an user set resolution in-game is why we are having these problems with the mouse. Basically because the menu ui isn't made to be scaleable like the ui in-game.
Maybe it may be possible to hex edit the exe to change the starting resolution, I haven't tried it but I will at some stage.
Yeeeah, I tried that, don't know whats my laptop's problem, but it won't accept custom resolutions in any way possible
If we could change the fixed resolution to the minimum possible (probably 640x480) we could resolve the problems for all laptops out there who want to play DS 2, with this fix and borderless gaming that is.
I tried searching for the hex value with hxd, but there's a lot of values!
