Today is -22 with a wind chill of -10. Yesterday in the morning it was -35 with a wind chill of -12.

Sorry to hear it is so cold at your houses Brkopac and Sigofmugmort1. It is 55 degrees with no wind at all at my house. Looks like rain again tonight.
A very damp Elf

What a crazy winter this has been.
And not even half over yet.

Currently the temperature (Feb 1 - 12:30 AM est) is a lovely 4 degrees with wind chill of -5. Tuesday we are expecting a heat wave with temps of 52. Woah, beach day! Drunk

Since I've moved away from Boston I've noticed that the temperature here is much colder. Higher elevation or some such. I'm about 15 minutes to the New Hampshire border and it's even chillier there. Sad

But I think I will turn into an ice cube since the Atlantic is very cold. I'm shivering just thinking about the water temperature. Shock

Crap no catchup anywhere and we are having hamburgers for dinner. It is pouring rain and very windy by the time I get home I will be a drowned rat not a bare Elf

So, can you guess why I used mostly "F" words? Oh I bet you can...

Fantastic!

PS I was going to use language both Forbidden and Foul, but that would be Foolish. Don't Fret. Forgive me?

Weather forecast - Soaking Rain and high winds. For the same reason I am using D, R and W words?

Soggy shoes much? Tongue

It's currently 4 degrees here, so you would be a flash frozen elf. Heavy rain can be almost as annoying as a snowstorm. That is, if you are out in the rain, buying ketchup. If you are out in a snowstorm buying ketchup, well...you got troubles, Mac.

It seems every time I am caught out in the rain the bottoms of my pants get all wet. Yick - soggy ankles.

To prevent soggy pants bottoms. either wear shorts or tuck the legs of your pants into your rain boots. Oh you do not have rain boots! Then roll up the legs of your pants. If pants are to tight have zippers installed. If it is the other pants bottom that gets wet, then do not sit down in the middle of a rain storm.

Elf

Given the wind, one does not need to sit down to get a soggy bottom

Right now right outside my door it is 26 degrees, Snowing with 3 inches of snow on the patio! I know it is not much snow but it is just not often that it snows at sea level in California near San Francisco

The last two days have been absolutely great, temperatures in the high fifties. So warm I even opened a window!! Shock

Nice day for the Patriot's Super Bowl celebration parade in Boston. Smile

Of course it isn't going to last, but the upcoming week looks decent. So, yeah. Extreme shifts in temperature, excessively cold weather and all that jazz couldn't possibly have any relation to climate change.

That's just crazy talk.... Right?

Insane

A really lame snow day. The school closed today not do to snow, because there is not much, but broken water pipes. Took the rug rats to play in the snow. Jane had seen snow before, Alexis being a beach boy, never in his life. We where dressed like a group of Michelin men. I also packed two large cardboard boxes that I had planned to put in the recycle bin. The kids spent hours sliding down a small snow covered patch near the top of the coast mountains. (hills really). Lisa and I even made a few runs.
Super fun day.

Actually the sun's possible entering a Maunder minimum with a possible conjunction with a Dalton minimum is the culprit. look up "little ice age"
