A great way to start Broken World allows you to change mods and update things without messing up your saved games. It is also a requirement for the Converted DS1 maps that play in DS2.

If the game is on an external hard drive or not on C: drive you just place the allsaves installer in the directory where the game is and then install it. I have several of my Dungeon Siege Games on external drives on various desktop computers, and D drive on my laptop.
