U5L Modding Question

Hi All, I've joined this site to learn how to add content to the awesome U5:Lazarus mod for DS. I've modded an avatar portrait, avatar face, royal shield, but only because I could find them in the tank (U5L mod/resource) files. Upgrades to existing files and content is fun, but I really want to add new content like ChickenGeorge has. However, what's not clear to me is where this mod pulls the rest of their meshes, textures, and templates from. I understand most non-magical gear (long sword, mace, hammer, etc.) are likely "inherited" from the original DS game, but even for those there should be a template for them, but I can't find them (or almost any templates for "gear") anywhere in the mod (tank) files. It's like the files and templates I'm looking for are hidden or saved/installed somewhere else? Help!! Also, can anyone recommend a camera mod that is compatible with U5:L? Here is my current project (Royal Shield) - I'm mostly done, but the mesh used for this shield warps the texture in the upper left and right sides of the shield ruining the look. I found identical meshes that don't display that same warping with the texture, so I'd like to replace the base shield mesh with a new one. |

I no longer have U5:Lazarus installed on my computer. However I am sure someone here might know answers to your questions or at least suggestions on where to look for solutions.
I hope so! Really want to get my mod done and get to playing it!
Hi Longshen
You can find a UvL camera mod HERE.
Other mods for lazarus are HERE
If you are browsing where the Lazarus files are located, you will find a bunch of different dsres files there. You will need to explore them w/ tank viewer and poke around, even the ones that aren't specifically for Lazarus, such as Brittania logic. I don't have the game installed on this computer, but I do remember a lot of stuff, so it might take some time to find what you want.
The modder's pack/tools for Lazarus is located HERE. There are some other resource files on that page also.
Hope this helps.
It helps some, thank you, the camera mod really helped. I think the issue I need to resolve is why DSMod.exe doesn’t work. It errors out during initialization. I’ll provide specifics on the error later this evening unless this program failing after installation is a known issue?
