Dungeon Siege 1/LOA easter eggs/hidden and weird locations

I've got a weird habit of just playing Multiplayer alone and exploring and over the years I've seen some weird little locations, glitches, etc that I can't really find being mentioned online. I was wondering if anyone else has similar "dungeon siege" secret stuff they've found over the years and would like to share.

I think the first time I found something I couldn't find convos about online was the hidden crypt in the Goblin Caves but I have a pretty solid hunch other folks have found that by now. At the time though as a kid I felt like I had found something pretty neato.

A glitch I found a while back that I found cool was getting really weird textures to appear on petrified enemies after freezing them while petrified. Getting to happen is kind of tricky and I think both have to happen at the same time but my memory could just be wrong on it. I do see to remember there being some combination with petrification that would overlay really wacky textures over the goblin grunts though.

I guess there are no real secrets in the DS world because anyone can open the maps in the Siege Editor and see all that's there.

There are of course the official easter eggs, like the Chicken Level, the Discokrug, and the Pit of Despair.

Back when I started playing DS, I was very excited to find Dornek's stone quarry and the sulfur tunnels. I liked that they had put this alternative route in, not for any specific quest, just for its own sake Smile

Goblin caves everywhere: is it DiscoKrug in the LoA map you mean? Something in the Utraean Peninsular multiplayer map? or even the could-be-missed side areas in Kingdom of Ehb?

Yeah when you go into the singleplayer Goblin caves there are a few really dark corners that are pretty easy to miss and assume just end in a corner but they actually open up and lead to various hidden crypts. One of them has a kind of ghost puzzle where you touch braziers and summon little spirits around them until you open up a hidden treasure room, I always liked to think they were the tombs of past impressive greenmen from a time where goblins were more classy.

When I was a wee lad I remember finding the hidden Bandit castle area in Singleplayer and thinking it was the coolest thing ever, that and the hidden dungeon in the swamp before the goblin caves that you can fall into when walking around. Also I feel silly but it took me longer than I care to admit to find the hidden shop keepers in the castle ehb dungeon hidden next to the underground river lol

Really?, are you playing DS with a mod because I've never seen that, ghost puzzle? braziers and little spirits, could you explain that a bit more because I've stomped all over those caves and I've never seen them, or perhaps what you have seen is not how I would describe it, an image would jog jog the old brain box as my memory hasn't been the same since I turned 21. Tongue

The ponytail gang are just about to enter the Eastern Swamp (my favourite area) and when I get into the caves I'll be on the lookout for that room, if its not found you are going to be in need of some Rhinoplasty and some walking aids, Laughing out loud and for a coup de grĂ¢ce I will rename you Tutu_goblin. Big smile

Goblin Dungeons have 2 secret rooms:

First sneaky area - the goblins' sauna/bathroom (where they keep treasure - peculiar people)

Second sneaky area in goblin caves - puzzles. First the door to her left (second picture) won't open, then when it does, the chest (third picture) isn't there.

Those areas are not to be confused with the not-secret third in the same style, through the last side door before the inventor's robo-suit room.

Well, well well, I can't remember ever being in that room, or maybe I have and I've forgotten about it, whichever is right, I've either become forgetful or I have developed full on Senile Dementia like Jo Biden. Insane
I wonder if I can go around the village and rearrange the teeth of a couple of youths who could do with a smack in the mouth and not get arrested for it?. I'm sure kathy would help to pay my court fine if it all goes FUBAR, as her home insurance will pay for her pipe problems she'll have loads of spare money in her moth ridden purse to dish out to the vigilante needy. Big smile

Thanks for that post RS57.

Yeah theres the little ghost puzzle, they're pretty well hidden if you've never heard of them so I can see how some people might be confused when they're brought up lol

It's been years since I advanced to the Goblin place. I don't recall any of that stuff. I remember finding a small room with a pot of bubbling something, but that's it. I am downloading the maps Ulyss linked and will have to find those places. Criminy

I'm going to hop back into the game and try to get some screenshots of some of the stuff I mentioned just for the sake of posterity. Would be nice to have it all in one thread I think lol

The ponytail gang have just given the goblin horde and their machines a good old ass kicking, yeah, and we found Huzthe_goblin's secret area as well, the girls are on the beach sunbathing at the moment and won't move until they get an all over tan, they've erected a sign that says "No Perverts on this Beach", Innocent
