We have changed the order in which comments are displayed. The order is now newest on top. Made some other changes as well. forums: |

I like it this way. If we had to vote I would vote for comments display at the top.
Thanks for the change Sol77
I like it, it makes it easier on my connection to go directly to the last comment, rather than having to scroll and page-flip to get ot it.
date before understanding which posts follows the other.
In particular rare/new forum vistiors must check first the post
I mean you write top down, and don't start from bottom to top.
this post is written.
Moreover this is a bit contra-reading - like the manner
the threads are rahter something like news tickers.
I know some forums that do it this way too, but there
reversed-chronical - isn't this a bit irritating!?
The initial post on top and then the following posts
We can hold a poll in a week or two and the majority of the members can decide.
I look at it as a good bridging solution to make things easier to navigate until the Drupal page linking thing is fixed... The way it was made longer threads a big pain to read new stuff in, because the "new" and front page links didn't work properly if a thread had more than one page. As a frequent visitor who reads every post (for moderation purposes) the change is extremely helpful.
If / when there is a poll, I'd suggest at least these three options:
a. Keep it this way (most recent comments at the top) forever!
b. Keep it this way (most recent comments at the top) only until the paging problem can be fixed.
c. Change it back to the old way (most recent comments at the end of the thread) as soon as possible please!
A!!!
C, personally I think how it is now is horrible..
As it different that all other forums i visit..
