I've played it for a while. It's a sort enhaned Fate. It could have simply be called Fate II.
If you liked Fate, you will like Torchlight.
The game is well done for its type.

As for me, it's a too much repeatitive for my tastes to play it for a long time. It's really a dungeon crawler game.
Maybe the editor will allows for some more fun
