I don't understand how it works, but if I ride a circular route, the wind is in my face the whole way round.
I thought you were small and streamlined, so it would have less effect. My beard seems to add a ton of drag - I think that's why serious cyclists shave off all their exposed hair.
P.S. Hills don't change direction, the wind always does when you count on it.
