Last time I tried to start multiplayer under XP it refused to start up. I think an update from MS broke a piece of the DirectWhatever code. I can still get it to work on Win 2000 Server, but that's not exactly a gaming platform!
I was just trying to play the Halloween Special - which requires MP - on my LAN.
(And I still haven't installed onto my Win 7 system).
