next time if u make a similar mistake, try hitting ctrl-z to undo what u just did or right click on the empty spaces between icons and choose undo.

the catch is that u must perform the undo immediately and avoid any further cutting, copying or pasting in windows explorer... if u performed another cirque du cutte, cope or pastee then oops too bad. u have to undo it the hard way again!
