I would also reccomend downloading Better Bodies and World of Faces (everyone says Better Heads, but WoF is better IMHO- you can, of course, download both of them :P).

Meshes go to /Data Files/Meshes, textures go to textures, etc. Any base files should go to Data Files, usually- always read the readme

EDIT: I would recommend joining The Elder Scrolls Forums and Planet Elder Scrolls. I use the same username on both (but I only use the Elder Scrolls forums and lurk on PES).
