Has anyone noticed that ever since "Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary", the production of HD-Remakes and/or Ten-year Anniversary's has skyrocketed? I haven't done any actual research on the subject, as usual, and am basing this solely off of observation but ever since Halo CE's HD remake came out and did so bloody well, it seems everyone is trying to dip their hand into the replay bowl. I mean, it's kind of genius in terms of exploitation. You're selling the same game, with prettier pictures and BOOM! Of course, they usually seem to throw in extra content as well. Personally, I'm pleased with this.. You may remember my rant on DSIII and how I referenced Fable shooting down the tubes, but this Anniversary looks promising and I've already pre-ordered.

So, what do you think? Is this a good thing to bring back old games with new colors? Or is it just a marketing technique to squeeze us of an extra sixty bucks? Is buying one of these remakes a rip off or a good time?
