If things where not Abby Normal then common sense would actually be common. If that makes any kind of sense.
I think if it where me I would ask the computer shop to give me back the crashed drive in it original box. Then I would return it to the manufacturer and see if they would replace the hard drive for free. That way I would have two hard drives the replacement from the computer shop and the original one fixed. Just a thought. Might work since the drive is was new.
