I do not think people's mindset has evolved, it has just changed back and forth. Sometimes too dramatic sometimes not, sometimes to open and sometimes to closed.

I truly agree with you about rpg games. third person is best.

It is not the religions themselves, but how people interpret what the leader(s) said. You must remember the God whom ever he or she really is is a humorist. Back when all the major religions started this being (God) went to each group and said you are my chosen and everyone else is bad. Then this being sat back and laughed when they all started fighting. Also look at what the being made with all the left over parts. Duck Billed Platypus, Tarsier, and many others I am sure you can think of a few.
