The disease I spoke of is hypocracy... and very few humans are not hypocritical in some way. It is conceivable that some psychotics might want to be treated the same way they treat others, but most criminals certainly do not do so. Would the check bouncer consider it moral for others to submit fraudulent payment in trade for his/her valued product (what if the check bouncer's employment paycheck bounced... would that be acceptable to him/her)? I think not. That double standard is hypocritical, and I believe hypocracy is a corruption of morality.

BTW, convicted innocents are not criminals, while those who commit crimes (regardless of whether they are caught or not) are.

I guess I'm as guilty as anyone for taking this thread off the rails... if anyone is interested in discussing this further I think a separate OT thread might be a good idea so that the router topic can remain otherwise useful.
