The reason I use this program exclusively (for the last 4 years) is because it does a better "clean up" after uninstalling a program. It checks for left over registry entries and other misc. crap that is often left behind.

This isn't as irrelevant as one might think. When a program is borked and it needs to be uninstalled and then reinstalled it helps to remove the additional crap that's left behind before reinstalling the program.

Well, that's the theory I go with anyway.
