Extract kcmaster.dsres file to your Microsoft Games/Dungeon Siege/Resources
folder.
COMPATIBILITY:
Not all mods have been tested for compatibility with K&C /Masterpiece. There is
a good chance however, that problems will arise if using any other GOM spell mods,
the original werewolf mod byBil Simser, or any archer range mods. This Mod is NOT
compatible with "K&C/Spellbook" - or "K&C/Greed" - Remove these mods or turn off with mod manager
to avoid potential conflicts.
MASTERPIECE:
I was never really satisfied with my first DS mod "K&C/Spellbook". It was more
of a learning experience than anything else. The spells were way overpowered
(though balanced by mana), there was a major bug with the "Shadow Lightning"
spell, and I really didn't want players to be able to just buy Gom's spells in the local
magic shops. I wanted them to earn them. After "K&C/Spellbook" was released, I
immediately began "K&C/Masterpiece" to fix the faults and create a much better
mod all around. Anyway enough of my rambling, lets get to

(The easiest to make of the customs - To get this spell, you'll have to um......kill the bear.)

SUMMON WEREWOLF Nature 27 Werewolves - 20%
(While digging through endless files, I came across something that Bil Simser must not have when he created
his "Werewolf Mod". GPG already had a werewolf model, skin, animations, and sounds ready for a werewolf but never
created a template to put them together. So I did. It took awhile and was a pain in the ass to decipher the bone
translations - but i didn't give up and it works great - You can get this spell off of the Werewolfs in both maps -
all levels. Werewolves replace furok slashers)

SUMMON WITCH Combat 37 The Lost Witch
(Another easy one - it's probably been done before - but what the hell. You can get this spell off of "The Lost Witch"

SUMMON NECROMANCER Combat 42 Necromancer
(This was just one big pain in the ass to make period. The 1st custom I started and the last one to complete.
Inspired by Nintastic's Necromancer in his abandonned Athesia project and fueled by Rozo's concubine spell -
this was the product of many many hours of tedious work to try to get right. While the mini-boss
Necromancer uses magic almost exclusively, the summoned Necromancer uses magic occasionally.
Believe me, I've tried to fix this, but there was a time when he wouldn't do anything at all so if he
wants to swing his staff alot then just let him. I'm done with this bastard. You get this one from the man
himself which replaces......well.......I'll just let you run into him on your own. Should work in all lvls - but only
tested in Ehb.)

SUMMON FURY Combat 59 Fury - 33%
(Not much to say about this one. I started with SkyHK's template and altered it to my own design - basically
to tone the fury's ass down a bit)

SUMMON GIKK Nature 66 ?
(What the hell's a Gikk you ask? That's what I wanted to know when I found an attack animation file
for an ambient creature that:
1) - I've never even seen;
and
2) - was progammed by GPG to run and never fight
My curiousity didn't disappoint - as this turned out to be one funny ass summon
I won't tell you where this spell is located - I have to leave something for you to quest for,
but it really isn't too hard to find. Oh and if you do ever run across a wild Gikk in the game,
let me know.

SHADOW LIGHTNING Nature 110 Visionary
A very powerful spell - not godly like the last version - but will still hurt even the strongest elite players
The mini-boss you get this spell from also uses it, so be careful. He's tough. The visionary himself is another abandoned
GPG character. The model and skin was complete but again, no templete - and even worse- only one animation file. Good thing
he doesn't have legs. To counter his awkward appearance of only one aniamtion, I used more eye candy with the Shadow Lightning
spell and altered it further to come from both of his outstretched hands. He kind of looks like a statue, and with a name like "Visionary"
I gave him gom laser at 1st, but he would use that instead of the shadow lightning - making him to easy of a kill. Where exactly is he?
All I say about his whereabouts is that hes "off the beaten path" - You're probably better off not finding him.

RARE ITEMS COLOR:
This is the color that "Nivisec" used in his Items Overhaul mod to make the purple rares stand apart from blue magic items better.

All spells have selectable icons - many of which weren't being used before
GHOST RESPAWN TIMER:
Reset to 5:00 - No, that isn't a typo and yes, I know alot of people won't like it. But I believe there should be at least some
kind of penalty for death. Besides that - how many of you have even used a resurrect shrine before? This way i think they'll serve
their purpose.
I believe "NGRU-Rix" was the 1st to edit the ghost respawn time so the blame, I mean credit goes to him - lol

You will get unignorable seige editor errors while this mod is installed - turn off with mod manager before
running seige editor
Though I tried to avoid it, this became a client side mod. Both host and client need to connect.
If your having trouble finding a server running K&C/Masterpiece you can always look up the
KINGDOMS & CASTLES SERVER on zonematch, provided you have broadband and aren't an asshole
(Hours vary)
