DSII Siege University

Is there a DSII Siege University??? If not, I think that we (the modding community) and others knowledgeable on such matters should write a Siege University II. Such a document would make a great impact on the community. forums: |

Good idea (that's what StheD's Tips / Tutorials forum is for...). http://std.seijsing.se/forums/viewforum.php?f=29
There is SU2 ( http://garage.gaspowered.com/?q=siegeu2 ) but it doesn't include a ton of subjects from SU1... (I guess GPG is assuming that DS2 modders will be able to figure out the basics & differences).
I have a couple ideas for articles I wouldn't mind writing... but real life is getting in the way right now.
Same here. If I wasn't so dang busy I'd do it myself.
hmm Reaper wonders why they dont write it, not like they have much to doo, accept make a expansion, whats one person off the team for a day gonna do? Lol
8O It would take considerably more than a day to rewrite SU for DS2... If that's all it took, it would have been redone a long time ago.
That would do alot for the new community members coming in would be good to look back on for refrence. I dont know if Reaper ment GPG making a new Su II or the modding community but it it was GPG I doubt that they would really care if it didnt make sense to us.
I proposed we have tutorial articles for STD. STD seemed to want to do this but lacked time? Not sure why it didn't happen. I also contacted siegeheaven for the same. They were unable to have a tutorial article section but put my tutorials in a sticky which was good enough I guess. The problem I had there was my posts disappearing from the time limit they set.
I talked to a gpg memeber in email about what is going on with them. I was told with full production of the xpack and supcom they did not have the time to be active in the community like they did for ds1. It was mentioned that ds1 had downtime with some members that were able to help out the ds1 community. I believe they told me the truth and is reasonable.
I have not contacted them in awhile, since I was unable to get the information I needed. Granted I contacted a person who wouldn't know the answer. This person was helpful for getting us info on tunning though. Last contact was for my tutorials I put up on su2. I figured I would repay gpg for helping us out. I also wanted others to learn from my tuts. After they finish the xpack up, I will be atempting to email different members on specific subjects I think they would know. I do not think gpg is a bad company like before, so I am willing to work on su2 when I get the time. I have been quite busy with school and switched to oblivion modding for a little bit. I have returned to ds2 modding.
Quite understandalbe. When I have some free time, I'd do it.
Aye, i agree with Lone O_o
- it would be brilliant if it were linked to the "Help" button in Siege Editor
