Really Strange Text Problem

Okay, gang. Help me out here. The text for my DS1 has randomly changed! It is now blurry and hard to see. I checked my in-game settings. Nothing is different. I checked the DSVC (Dungeon Siege Video Card) thing, that allows you to select which video card it's running off of. Checked and double-checked that. No change in the strange text. I removed all of the .dsres in my /resources file. No change to the strange text. This problem is very annoying when I can't read the text in NIS' I just made or in Quests. I'd be much obliged if anyone could lend any help. Many thanks. Edit: I added a pic of what it looked like. /edit forums: |

I can read it just fine. Maybe it is your eyes? :?
Nope, because other text isn't that way. And I have perfect vision, as well.
Well, that rules that out since I have perfect vision also.
Try going into your moniter's built in menu and messing with things. Built up gauss could also be a problem, hit the degauss button in that menu.
Perhaps it is a problem with your moniter?
Gauss problems wouldn't show up in a screenshot. :P
LK,
I assume you havn't installed any drivers recently (video, mobo...)? It could be hardware related too... but unlikely. Check your Event Viewer for any system errors...
I had a problem like that in the old Warlords III game. Required an OS wipe/reinstall. Never did figure out why.
The image looks like the z-order of the Journal may have changed - i.e. the text is under a semi-transparent layer of background. Check the UI folder for any changes to the dialog.
Lone Knight just a few questions
1. Does this text problem occur with all maps?
2. Have you recently installed a mod that changes the gui or the text?
3. changed any hardware or added/removed any software?
you may email me with your system specs and what mods are being used and I will see if I can find the cause when I get a few minutes of free time.

Hey, LK
Have you seen this
http://support.microsoft.com/kb/274571/en-us?spid=561&sid=global
- it gives numerous methods for clearing font problems in MS games..
- you haven't got more than 700 fonts installed, have you? (see Method 4)
- er, LK - remember when you were tweaking your graphics to get better results in DS2?
- well, it looks like you may have to do a bit of un-tweaking..
Are you sure that you have all of the latest drivers, and that you are not using any lorebook or journal mods?
