Ugly textures???

When I convert a RAW texture to a BMP to edit it, and then convert back to RAW, it turns out horrible. Is there any way to fix this? If not, do you know of any freeware RAW editors? :?

you can't use Irfanview to convert to raw. That raw format is different (kind of digital equalivalent of film). Not the kind DS uses.
you need a program made to convert to DS Raw like DS Raw conv (scroll down a bit)
It works! Now the snowy dragon "Frostwrath" has a nice looking trilinear suit of blue-white scales, rather than a placeholder skin consisting of ice bricks. :P
