My Greetings to the SIEGE Crew!

Hello to all the Dungeon Siege purists, loyalists and Siege Engineers of Siegetheday! Allow me to introduce myself... ( Please excuse if I have picked the wrong section to do this, I've been known to be blind at times! =P ) Well then let me start out by saying, over the years since the early days back in 2002 -- how time escapes us! -- I've spent quite a massive amount of hours playing Dungeon Siege -- as I'm sure the majority of you all here have as well. And although I've never been an "active" member of the community forums I have logged many an hour lurking about and become very familiar with the helpful avatars that keep the coals burning on dedicated sites siegetheday. While Dungeon Siege isn't the only game I love or invest some of my free time in, it from the beginning earned my respect for being something new (at the time) and different from the rest. At present I've taken more than a bit of a hiatus from the game. For one it's dated and two -- as a participant in the beta for DS2 I never felt the sequel carried on the tradition of it's predecessor by living up to the expectations of the *home grown* DS fans like myself nor the hype surrounding the previews and interviews. I'm not saying that DS2 is a bad game it offers some decent features, but it's just not the game for me. What is my point? Good question for those of you who haven't fallen asleep yet! My point is I'm looking for people... yes I'm looking for the die-hard loyalists, people who are not simply interested in just carrying on with the same old discussions about the potential the game had or those who get off on the "Cyrst to Quil" run or sitting in Ehb hacking summons for loot for the ten millionth time! I'm certainly not your typical RPG fan although I have background in D&D I'm a strategy fanatic and RTS gamer, and so DungoneSiege did something for me that has YET that's right YET to be topped... it took the great tactical aspects of Baldur's Gate and packaged it in a 3D engine. What other game can you name at this date and time that offers flawless party management in an action rpg setting? So to sum it up, I would like to know if anyone out is interested in discussing a compilation mod of DungeonSiege Tactics. I have the hosting available, but would really love to find like minded individuals who can help me bring this about. I hope this post isn't taken as just another shot in the dark wishful thinking, because it's something I can back. So if any of you are seriously interested please let's discuss this! Thanks all for your attention and time. I hope I didn't boring the hell of you too much, but I felt it's either now or keep dreaming about how things could be... Regards, Tarqin EDIT: Figures as soon as I hit submit, I see "new members introduce yourself here" hahaha oh well didn't I say I could be blind at times! =D forums: |

Yup, welcome. ^^
Hosting is not a problem here, we have a lot of space and bandwidth available. And your idea sounds interesting. DS1 is a really good game, haven't played it in a while though, and I would love to see more DS1 resources here. Let me know if there is anything you need for this project of yours.
Hello there sol77,
It's good to hear about the bandwidth, I just wasn't sure since I didn't see very many hosted here so I thought I would offer. I should start a new thread for this with more details, but basically I'm looking to gather up all the of the tactical of mods created for DS1. I have a small list that I run already, but I know not all work well together which lead me to this idea for a compilation. I'm looking for people interested in what some familiar with AD&D or Diablo may consider hardcore style of play as well as anything that ups the level of team competitiveness and overall tactical experience. I know this may not be the most popular idea within the rpg community of DS, but I feel it's definitely worth a shot to see who out there's really interested.
