DS2 and other ramblings

OfficerDonNZ's picture

After the disaster that was Mass Effect 3 ::shudders:: I needed something to vent my frustration on so I had to track down a copy of DS2 and BW Smile As I liked what KillerGremal has been doing with the Aranna Legacy Mod.

I completed DS2 once many years ago when it had first came out, before the BW add-on. Even then the way the skills were arranged in the different classes scream at my inner role player "Dual Class" Though given the way DS works experience wise Dual Class is probably the wrong words to use.

A high level fighter takes 5 levels in archery, that gives him access to dodge at level 1 and at level 5 the ability to harvest health potions but more importantly the elemental resistance bonuses. This is probably the simplest case of a dual class DS2 character Smile

KillerGremal's Aranna Legacy Mod makes a dual class Nature/Combat Mage even more viable. The possibilities from there get a bit more complicated from there. At level 1 fighters get a health bonus, something most characters could pick up at some point without too much trouble (especially if you forget to change your mage's attack back to a spell, oops) and at level 12 fighters get damage resistance but that's possibly a bit high for most characters to risk.

Of course there are two other limiting factors, skill points, or lack thereof depending on how you want to look at it. Smile And the level cap as I don't know what happens once you hit level 100 as I've never managed that.

Ok done rambling I think.

Hey OfficerDonNZ and welcome. I haven't played ME3, but I've heard bad things about the ending. Hopefully DS2 will ease those frustrations. Smile

Happy to see you back, it has been a very long time. Seems everyone is coming back home.

The totally FUBAR'd ending is only the start. Sadly ME3 has many problems. Sad I was really dissapointed. The truely sad thing is that Bioware really dropped the ball but don't have the balls to admit they f-ed up in a really big way. They are just part of t5he evil gaming monster that is EA.

You and your shenanigans.
Also, I agree, while I have not played through ME3 I find the entire series frustrating and... pretty boring.
